Hasbro Inc files Trademark Application for HasCon
The dust has barely settled on the final BotCon… but a new challenger emerges.
Hasbro Inc has filed an application for a new trademark, HasCon. Fans are well aware that Fun Publications no longer has the license to run the official Transformers fan convention after this year, and have been wondering what the future may hold. Could HasCon be the successor, possibly expanding to include several Hasbro franchises in one major event? We’ll have to wait and see!
The application states the trademark would cover:
Organizing and conducting conventions, exhibitions, fan clubs and gatherings for entertainment purposes and in the fields of toys, animation, comic books, fantasy, gaming, popular culture, science fiction, television and film
