Someone turned the dial on the Reboot Machine to “XENA”

In “REMAKE ALL OF THE THINGS” news, a writer has been hired to tell us some new Xena stories.

Javier Grillo-Marxuach will take on writing duties and a producer credit when NBC relaunches the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys spinoff. Grillo-Marxuach is known for his work on the first two seasons ABC series LOST… you know, the good seasons?

The reboot has been talked about before, but as Deadline notes the hiring of a writer is another step towards seeing a new Xena on the small screen – Lucy Lawless is not expected to reprise the role she played from 1995-2001. Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi, however, are set to return as executive producers.

Chris Patrick (Random Items) is a fan of all things vintage and retro, with a particular fondness for 1980s robots, classic video games, and anything that blends those two things.

Chris joined the Allspark community in 2002 and has been a member of the News and Content team since 2014.
