Warcraft Movie Full Trailer
When people hear the word “Warcraft” they tend to think of the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that has been running strong and dominating the gaming landscape for the past decade. World of Warcraft, or WoW as it is called, launched 11 years agao in November of 2004.
Of course, the heritage goes back much further than that with the original RTS (Real Time Strategy) game waaaaay back a full decade prior in 1994 with Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.
With a technology and craft that surpassed all others of the day, the cut scenes in particular for all of these games have been fan-favorites. Each new release fans clamored for the day Blizzard would get into the movie making business in addition to (or even instead of) the game making business because the cut scenes were of such high quality.
Well, that day is finally here as we announce the first full launch trailer for the upcoming feature film Warcraft due to be released in June of 2016.
From Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures comes Warcraft, an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon.
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.
So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and written by Charles Leavitt and Jones, the film starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu is a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production.
The producers are Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner and Stuart Fenegan. Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams serve as executive producers. Rob Pardo, Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter and Rebecca Steel Roven co-produce. Warcraft will be released by Universal Pictures. www.warcraftmovie.com
We’ve also uploaded a version of the trailer that has the dialog removed and only includes the musical score and some sound effects.
