Fortress Maximus, Power Master Optimus Prime and Minicons Galore!

As many of you may already be aware through various hype (and sadly, some leaks), Transformers news sites were invited to hang out on Google with the Hasbro design team to get the scoop on some of what we’ll be seeing in 2016. Keep in mind, the news here is meant to tide us over until Toyfair next February, but even if this is just the tip of the iceberg there are a lot of great things in store for us.
First up – a glimpse, and only a glimpse, of Titan Fortress Maximus. Rumors have been rampant about this figure ever since it was hinted about during NYCC. Hasbro has finally confirmed that this is going to be released but so far they’ve only shown us art work. The meat of this announcement will have to wait a few months until Toy Fair.

Next up is the announcement of Powermaster Optimus Prime. Heavily retooled from the Combiner Wars Leader Ultra Magnus figure. Optimus sports a brand new trailer, tons of weapons as well as his little buddy Apex (in G1 this was Hi-Q). His trailer becomes a battle station for the little guys as well.

As with Menasor and Superion, Combiner Bruticus will be sporting a G2 paintscheme in 2016 as part of a special gift set. Also included will be Legends Shockwave with a deco inspired by G1 Actionmaster Shockwave (Since there was no G2 version) So far, no new combiners have been announced.

And Lastly, if Robots in Disguise is your thing there are tons of new Mini-Cons and action features coming out in 2016. These will be broken up into various waves and will include remakes of some of the larger characters as well as a few new characters and interpretations.
