Happy Birthday, Frank Welker!

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you’ve heard his voice. Transformers fans know him best for bringing Megatron, Soundwave, Wheelie, and many other G1 characters to life on our TV screens. Frank Welker turns 69 today!

Still one of the busiest voice actors in the biz with film credits going all the way back to 1960s, Welker has worked on The Simpsons, Futurama, DuckTales, The Real Ghostbusters, Garfield, The Flintstones… well, pretty much every animated show, really. He has contributed to the Transformers film franchise as well, returning to voice multiple characters in both Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon before taking on the role of Galvatron in last year’s Age of Extinction. In 2011, The Guardian newspaper named him “the most successful Hollywood actor you’ve never heard of,” pointing out that the films he has worked on had (at that point) grossed more at the box office than any other working actor in history.
