Check out the details after the break.
PlayDate Digital provides the following plot description:
Getting your cutie mark is part of growing up in Equestria. Earning a cutie mark signifies that a pony has discovered his or her special talent and can use that talent to shine and make a difference in Equestria. Well, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, Ponyville’s self-proclaimed Cutie Mark Crusaders, can’t wait to grow up and find out who they truly are. When Apple Bloom becomes impatient waiting for her cutie mark, she decides to take things into her own hooves and finds herself afflicted by an ancient, mysterious ailment with no known cure. With the Cutie Pox running her ragged, Apple Bloom must seek the advice of a wise and trusted zebra in the hopes of curing the incurable.
Fans of the hit TV series will immediately recognize the story as a direct adaptation of the season 2 episode The Cutie Pox. While PlayDate Digital has simplified the dialog for new readers, the 18-page app covers very nearly the entire story. Each page includes a simple description of the scene’s events, with full narration allowing new readers to follow along. When the reader taps various characters on the page, brief and surprisingly expressive animations play, accompanied by full voice acting.
The app also features a range of modes and additional tools. Readers can choose between the Read to Me mode or Read Along mode, or can choose the autoplay feature if they just want to sit back and watch the story play out. Possibly challenging words are highlighted on the page and sounded out.
