Hasbro Third Quarter 2014 Earnings Conference Call

Not much new has been mentioned on this round of Hasbro’s investor conference calls, with it mostly a straight run through of the numbers already presented in the press release and those which can be found in the related slideshow that can be found on investor.hasbro.com.
The benefits brought forward by Transformers: Age of Extinction were mentioned as well as the potential impact of the Transformers: Robots In Disguise cartoon.
Also mentioned were the first two films under the Allspark Pictures banner. While Transformers fans may have expected a Transformers-related due to the “Allspark” name, these two movies are actually a feature length My Little Pony animated film and the live-action Jem and the Holograms film.
As far as the Hub Network and Discovery Family, Hasbro is convinced that their TV growth will continue with select new programming and library shows being aired on Discovery Family. This domestic airing of new shows also allows international broadcasters a chance to choose what they want to air when making their programming. They will also take advantage of the regained flexibility to put new programming on other networks thanks to their lower stake in Discovery Family, such as how Transformers: Robots In Disguise will air on Cartoon Network.
Products sold at point of sale were mentioned multiple times, with the importance of point of sale in international markets emphasized for Transformers, especially as the holiday season approaches.
