In compiling the week’s home video sales and rental numbers, Variety writer Thomas K. Arnold puts Michael Bay’s latest Transformers film easily ahead of other strong recent releases, including Neighbors, The Fault in Our Stars, and Godzilla. Last week’s top disc, Neighbors, drops to the second-place spot, while continued warm sales of Disney’s Frozen kept the film in the Top 10. Disney’s 1993 film Hocus Pocus, rereleased last month on BluRay, rounds out the Top 10, proving there’s always a market for those treasured classic titles.
