Diamond Shipping List For The Week Of September 24th

Next week brings us another light buy-list from comic shops. IDW has 1 Transformers comic, and 1 My Little Pony Annual set for the new release racks. Each has 3 covers. Let’s get to it.

First up is Transformers: Robots In Disguise #33, written by John Barber, and interior art by Sarah Stone. Here’s the solicitation blurb for the issue: ‘WHEELJACK REBORN! After months unconscious, WHEELJACK awakens to find a strange, new CYBERTRON! STARSCREAM rules – OPTIMUS PRIME has made peace with MEGATRON – and WINDBLADE controls the city. What’s a scientist to do… but uncover the greatest mystery in TRANSFORMERS history?’
As per usual, there’s 3 covers for the issue, with Cover A by Andrew Griffith, SUB (Subscription) Cover by by Casey Coller, and the RI (Retailer Incentive) 30th Anniversary Cover by Sarah Stone. These covers are pictured below, and you simply need to click on the thumbnails to enlarge the cover. Note that we’ve used the clean version of Sarah’s cover, meaning it’s lacking the trade dress. The issue will still look like the other two in store, with the title and issue number.

MLP fans are in for a nice read this week, with the My Little Pony 2014 Annual as the week’s sole release. As an annual it has more pages than usual, so while it does cost extra, you are getting your money’s worth. This comic will have a $7.99US cover price, due to the extra content. Here’s the solicitation info for the annual: ‘Check out the original Power Ponies in action! When Mane-iac assembles an all-star team of villains, the Power Ponies may be outmatched! It will take a familiar face from Equestria to even the odds! Get ready for super powered adventure like you’ve never seen it!’
The issue will feature 3 covers.
That’s everything Transformer and/or My Little Pony related for the week, with the exception of a few pieces of accessories and apparel, such as a Decepticon snap wallet and some Transformers iPhone 5 cases. Thanks as always to Midtown Comics for their weekly info. See you next week, folks.
