Transformers Comics For Week Of August 27th, 2014

Here’s a quick reminder of what to expect in comic stores for the week of August 27th.

There will be two Transformers comics due out next week: More Than Meets The Eyes #32, and Transformers VS GIJOE #2. Here’s the solicitation info, and covers we can currently identify. First up: More Than Meets The Eyes 32.

‘SLAUGHTERHOUSE! The crew of the Lost Light are used to past decisions coming back to bite them, but nothing – not even an ULTRA MAGNUS-certified crash course in the law of unintended consequences – could have prepared them for the horrors of Sector 113. Be warned: this issue is not for the easily distressed – or the easily heartbroken’

It sounds like this is another instalment you won’t want to miss. There are 3 covers listed for the issue. Cover A is shown below, while the Subscription Cover is still presented as ‘TOP SECRET’, with white text on a plain black background. This cover, whatever it is, is drawn by Nick Roche. The RI Cover, another entry to the 30th Anniversary Celebrations, will be drawn by Casey Coller, and is another we have not yet seen at the time of writing. Click the thumbnails below for a look at Cover A, and a small shot of the mock-up done for Nick Roche’s cover, showing off the fact that the cover is hidden to preserve the viewer’s surprise.

The other release for the week is #2 of Tom Scioli’s Transformers Vs GIJOE series. Here is the solicitation info for this issue:

‘BOOTS ON THE GROUND! The war has begun-and no bars will be held! SCARLETT’s forces go head-to-head with MEGATRON’s hordes – and the most off-beat adventure in comic book history hits a new level of dangerous alliances, deadly invasions, and devastating betrayals!’

This issue will also have 3 covers, again with the normal IDW designations of Cover A, Subscription Cover, and Retailer Incentive (RI) Cover. Cover A is by Tom Scioli, Sub Cover is by Ed Piskor, and the RI Cover is also by Tom Scioli, and is part 1 of a 3 part interlocking series of variants. Below are both Cover A and Subscription Cover, and again, simply click the thumbnails to enlarge them. We did not have an image of the RI Cover at the time of writing.

As always, check with your retailer early if you are after a particular cover, and we’d like to thank Midtown Comics for the solicitation info.
