Singapore Burger King “Transformers: Age of Extinction” Promotion
Courtesy of Singapore-based TODAYonline, their Burger King branch will be promoting Transformers: Age of Extinction by introducing the Whopper Bot and Whopper, Jr. Bot! Their tag line for this promo is that of “Select. Configure. Engage.” Unlike most sandwiches that are primarily just beef or just chicken alongside the extras (lettuce, tomato, onion, turkey bacon, and sauce in this case), patrons can actually choose which type of meat they want in their Whopper Bot – either double chicken, double beef, or one of each. Patrons that order the Go Large meal will get a free poster, that of either Optimus riding Grimlock, Bumblebee displayed in both robot and vehicle modes, and Lockdown also in both modes.
No word on whether the US branch of Burger King will follow as well, although they have promotional tie-ins with the first three films.
Per TODAYonline’s entry:
Singapore — Burger King’s latest offerings pack a real punch. Inspired by the blockbuster movie Transformers: Age Of Extinction, the Whopper Bot and Whopper Jr Bot burgers allow you to choose the protein combination you prefer. Go for juicy double flame-grilled beef patties or double flame-grilled chicken patties. Can’t make up your mind? Get the chicken and beef combination. Topped with fresh iceberg lettuce, onions and tomatoes, the burgers come with crispy turkey bacon and two sauces — Bull’s Eyes BBQ and tangy ketchup for a sensory overload in the best way. Receive a free limited-edition Transformers poster with every purchase of a Go Large Whopper Bot or Whopper Jr Bot meal.
Transformers: Age of Extinction rolls out on June 27, 2014.
