“Farscape” Movie In Early Script-Writing Phase

Science Fiction fans no doubt remember the Farscape series that ran from 1999-2003, a beloved show that after its cancellation has gained a cult following. Back in February we were granted news and rumors of a potential new television movie for the series, and now thanks to WonderCon 2014 we have word that the project has entered the script-writing phase! In a panel at the convention, Rockne S. O’Bannon had this to say about it: “We are, in fact, in the script stage of a Farscape feature.” He went on to clarify that they are “still in early, early stages.” O’Bannon also acknowledged Brian Henson’s efforts in the project by saying “He was like a dog with a bone. He would not give up on it.”
Farscape is not a stranger to television movie revivals. In 2004, The Peacekeeper Wars was released to tie together the remaining loose threads left by the show’s cancellation.
