Voice of ‘DOTM’ Mirage/Dino Francesco Quinn Passes Away at 48

{mosimage}Courtesy of Malibu Patch, Italian-born actor Francesco Quinn, son of Oscar winner Anthony Quinn, passed away on Friday night from an apparent heart attack in Malibu, CA. He was 48, and is survived by his wife Valentina Castellani-Quinn and ten siblings.

For those that might not know his name immediately, he voiced Mirage/Dino, the red Ferrari Autobot in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. For others, he was perhaps best known as Rhah from Platoon (1986). Quinn's other works include Top Dog as Mark Curtains (1995), Francois in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles episode "Young Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Jackal", Kabir Atef from the TV series JAG, Fidel in the CSI: Miami episode "Murder in a Flash", and Tomas del Cerro from The Young and the Restless.

Our thoughts and prayers to his friends and family.
