‘Dark of the Moon’ DC Photos, Johnson Space Center Casting Call

{mosimage}Snap, snap, snap, snap, and SNAP goes the shutter on the cameras down in Washington, D.C.! bjoneill74 has posted a variety of photos at his Flickr account, from Optimus, Sideswipe, the blue Mercedes, the Ferrari, as well Ironhide and Ratchet. Just Jared caught a couple photos of Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in costume, Huntington-Whiteley sporting a pair of glasses with a UK flag pin and badge that says "White House". Kevin Dunn and Julia White, Ron and Judy Witwicky, were also spotted on set riding Datsun-Bee. Metromix Washington D.C. has a fair share in their gallery, some showing the Datsun that Bumblebee will disguise himself, plus the Mad Max-like truck. The Washington Post caught a few photos of the crew at the DAR Constitution Hall. Of note is that director Michael Bay was also filming the American Red Cross headquarters for one of the 1960s flashback scenes.

Poster "Astrotrain" dropped a tidbit of info regarding the Mad Max truck at the TF LAM blog regarding its rumored identity as that of Megatron.

Speaking of the 1960s, Johnson Space Center sent out a casting call for about 130 male employees as extras for the roles of Apollo Mission Flight Controllers and NASA officials this Friday, October 15. Filming is set for October 16 and while they'll be required to have their hair cut to 1960s period as well fitted in period clothing, it's limited to those within the Mission Operations Directorate and must have access to the required building.
