Transformers makes it to finals for National Museum of Play entry

{mosimage} 12 toy brands have made it this far, only 2 will be left standing…Rochester, NY's Strong National Museum of Play has revealed its twelve finalists for a spot within their halls. Transformers is going up against some strong competitors, like the Ball, Sidewalk Chalk, and the child's Tea Set, but it would seem that it is more than a match a few of the criteria:

• Icon-status (the toy is widely recognized, respected, and remembered)
• Longevity (the toy is more than a passing fad and has enjoyed popularity over multiple generations)
• Discovery (the toy fosters learning, creativity, or discovery through play)
• Innovation (the toy profoundly changed play or toy design)
