VOICE ACTOR MARK RYAN ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF “BEHOLD THE GLORY OF JETFIRE” ONLINE COMPETITION

After Nearly 100 Entries, Five Finalists & Thousands of Votes, 2 Clever Video Entries Come out on Top Los Angeles, CA – August, 17 2009: Today Mark Ryan announced the winners of his fan-driven, "Behold the Glory of Jetfire" Contest. The winners are Michael Wright and Dane Pavitt, who created unique videos celebrating their adoration for the character of “Jetfire” in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, brought to life by Ryan. The contest launched in July asking Transformers fans to showcase their love for Jetfire by creating and sharing online content for the chance to win collectible, Transformers watches donated by SeaHope. Ryan was overwhelmed by the support and talent of the fans who put a huge amount of time and effort into creating their entries and promoting the contest with videos and original online content. On August 10th, Ryan posted his five favorite entries on his blog, Mark Ryan :: Angel In The Dark, and asked fans to vote for their favorites. In just 5 days over seven thousand votes were cast and the videos created by Wright and Pavitt just edged out entries created by the other three finalists, which included two original Jetfire drawings and a video tribute to Jetfire.

"While filming Revenge of the Fallen I became very passionate about Jetfire and I realize the fans are just as passionate," says Ryan. " So, I created the contest as a fun and interactive way for all of us to celebrate Jetfire and I want to thank all of the fans for voting and submitting content that went above and beyond what I ever imagined."

Wright's video is an innovative, claymation piece depicting a Jetfire scene that has received 1,184 views on YouTube, while Pavitt's video comically attributes Jetfire's superiority to his being British. Pavitt's video currently has 1,868 views on YouTube. Both Wright and Pavitt will receive limited edition, SeaHope watches that were given to Ryan during a visit to Tokyo to promote Transformers.   It was important to Ryan that the watches go to fans who appreciate how rare and valuable the watches are, thus the reason for the competition.
