Michael Bay: Transformers 2 To Be Not Lame

{mosimage}The MTV Movies Blog has a couple of choice sound bites from Transformers 2 director Michael Bay, captured after the first film picked up the coveted Best Movie golden popcorn trophy at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards. In the brief interview, Bay promises Transformers 2 will be self-contained, and won't pull a Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest and end on a cliffhanger that will only be resolved in (the inevitable) Transformers 3. As for the robots themselves, while he seemingly dodges the question of numbers, he says audiences will be surprised that "we go with a lot of different levels." Overall, he says, the first movie was the setup, and the sequel will go much further. And lest you still be worried, he adds, "Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”
