Walker Edmiston Has Died

The Allspark has learned that Walker Edmiston, best known to us as the voice of Inferno in the original Transformers animated series, died on February 15.  Edmiston was not just the voice of a Transformer, though, having headlined a popular Los Angeles children's show in the 1950s, and he took over the role of Disney's Professor Ludwig von Drake from the legendary Paul Frees.  Additionally, Edmiston served as sort of the Frank Welker of the previous generation, providing creature voices and vocal sound effects for shows like Star Trek and Sid and Marty Krofft's Land of the Lost.  Thanks go to Phil Zeman for bringing us this news that many people would have overlooked.

Rest in peace, Mr. Edmiston.
