We thought this had made the rounds already, but apparently other things have drawn attention away from the fact that Transformers: The Movie Leader class Megatron has been sighted in US stores. Alphie and c717905 of the 2005Boards both found him at a Lee's Summit, Missouri Target store. This fits in perfectly with Hasbro's plan to randomly distribute multiple waves amongst different retailers... Keep an eye on our Sightings forum to see when these toys hit your area! |

Gadgets, gizmos and gewgaws are what popular mall storefront The Sharper Image sells, and this one is now exception: Beatmix Bumblebee, a non-transforming electronic version of Transformers: The Movie 'Bee features lights, sounds, and reacts to your portable music device when plugged in. The Sharper Image has listed the character on their website, with details on its features: when connected, music will be over-tracked with Transformers sound effects. Additionally, Bumblebee dances and flaps his wings to the beat. He retails for $59.95, but will likely sell for less at places like Target and Wal-Mart. |

Next time someone's eyeballing what you're doing on your PDA, or listening in to one of your mobile phone conversations, show no mercy. The Quick Bow and Digital Dagger, two items in the Transformers: The Movie-spinoff line T.E.C.H. (Transformers Electronic Combat Hardware), have surfaced on ebay. The Digital Dagger transforms from mobile phone to short-bladed stabbing apparatus, and the Quick Bow converts in a flash from Personal Digital Assistant to teched-out crossbow. Each features electronic lights and battle sounds. These will likely not be part of the initial June 2 blitz, but should hit store shelves soon thereafter. |

Lunchables Brigade to the rescue! Transforming your boring healthy lunch into fun circles of cheesesque and meatish edible product!
A new commercial has been running for the Transformers Lunchables promotion, and we've uploaded it to YouTube for your viewing pleasure. It features a bunch of kids, processed packaged foodlike substances, and a futuristic transforming Winnebago with an Autobot symbol. Naturally, it also shows off the Transformers toys and tosses in a clip and plug for Transformers: The Movie. Check it out on YouTube, or visit TM Silverclaw's thread for discussion, screenshots, and download links. |

With the Transformers: The Movie toyline's shelf date of June 2 looming large on the horizon, a number of special sales either are in effect now or will be this weekend. First, ToysRUs.com is currently running a special through June 8 wherein you can get a free Real Gear toy with a $25 Transformers purchase! Click here to view their Transformers products, and here for the sale details. Note that while it SAYS it's active now, you probably won't be able to actually add a Real Gear toy to your cart until June 2. Second, TFW2005 poster Gen. Magnus spotted Buy One Transformer, Get One Free (or possibly Buy One, Get One 50% Off) signs at his local KB Toys, set to take effect June 2. KB sales are generally nationwide, so if this pans out, it could be a good way to get some cheap movie figures. Even with KB's unholy markup. Finally, a few days ago Yakkotank relayed to us a Target sale notice from CheapAssGamer.com. Sunday June 3, the day AFTER the big toy blitz, Target will have their exclusive Robo-Vision Optimus Prime on sale for $19.99, plus $7.99 movie Deluxes and 10% off other Transformers toys. Happy spending!

Mark your calendars for "Week 16". We don't know what that means, either, but a Toys R Us planning guide lists a special seasonal sales area for Transformers-related bicycles, presumably starting on June 2. TFW2005 member Soundatron is the originator of this information, which includes a listing breaking down each store's allocation of the bikes-- 1 or 2 Optimus-themed cycles, and 1 or 2 Bumblebee cycles, each with a retail price of $75 and an additional optional $10 for assembly. |

An article has popped up at SoundtrackNet, a website dealing with film scores and soundtracks. The article takes a look at the scoring session for Transformers: The Movie, and features some new information from the movie's composer, Steve Jablonsky. The soundtrack features a 66-piece string orchestra, as well as an 18-piece brass ensemble. And sadly, as Jablonsky reports, the original Transformers theme will not feature into the film's soundtrack-- at least not during the movie. Jablonsky mentioned that he has re-orchestrated it, and it may appear over the closing credits. You can read the entire article, as well as see a slew of pictures from the session, here, and discuss the news in Lonegamer8's thread here on our forums. |

Two new Transformers: The Movie TV commercials have begun airing on Nickelodeon. To be more accurate, it's one TV spot with two different endings. The ad(s) feature(s) lots of new footage of the Autobots, particularly Bumblebee, and a line of dialogue from Optimus Prime.
The first TV spot aired yesterday afternoon, as noted by Boss Borot. A poor-quality (but better than nothing) video of the ad was posted on YouTube. This version ends with Spike punting a decapitated Decepticon.
Corgsopal gave us the heads-up about the second version that aired today, and this time we had the DVR ready and were able to get a direct video capture. This version is the same as yesterday's until the logo appears, then it ends with the Autobots outside Sam's house. View it on YouTube, or visit Corgsopal's thread for discussion, screenshots and direct download links. *UPDATE* Video captures of the first version of the ad, with the Frenzy ending, are now on YouTube and in the discussion thread. |
