New TFKenkon Gallery: Japanese Deluxe Bumblebee PDF Print E-mail

Act 451: Japanese Bumblebee Oh, look at you. Mr. Big-Collection. Mr. MISB. You were up at the crack of dawn yesterday to buy all the Transformers: The Movie toys, right? You bought three of every Transformer, just so you could have one in the package and one for each mode. You cleaned the stores out of every last Fly Paper Bumblebee and Optimus Prime Talking Keychain. You bought Optimus sheets for a twin bed you don't own and Decepticon socks you can't fit into. You think you're pretty special, right? You think you got every piece of movie merchandise in the first wave, right?

Well, here's Remy Rodis to not only show you something you don't have, but make it look so good you won't be able to stand not having it. The newest TFKenkon gallery is of the Japanese version of Deluxe 1970s Bumblebee, and unlike the US edition, it's got swanky clear blue windows and missiles.

Check out the excellent gallery, and discuss it in Remy's thread. And good luck on eBay!

Those giant robots just can't wait to get here, apparently.  We've already learned that opening day for Transformers: The Movie in the U.S. would be July 3rd, rather than July 4th.  Now, Nelson of the Michael Bay forums brings word straight from the director, confirming that July 3rd is indeed opening day, but there will also be "a special showing on the night of July 2."

Comment on this development here at the Allspark Forums.

Confirmed: Prime Helmet Variant With Cullen's Voice PDF Print E-mail

Listen carefully to those Transformers: The Movie Optimus Prime voice changer helmets.  It's been confirmed now that there are two versions - one with the voice we heard in G1 and we'll hear again in the movie, Peter Cullen!

As pointed out through both a video posted by Matrix_Prime and an image from Seibertron, some of the Cullen variants will come in a slightly different package declaring, "Featuring the REAL movie voice."  But Allspark Forums member Aberration tells us the real movie voice comes out of his helmet that didn't have the note on the packaging, so, to quote him directly, "the best thing to do is to use your ears."

Speaking of using your ears, use them to hear Peter Cullen's voice from Optimus Prime's head in this thread started by Matrix_Prime, where you can find his video.

Robo-Vision The countdown for Target's Transformers: The Movie site at Target.com/Transformers has completed, and the site's live! Well, partially at least. There seems to be either an error or a deliberate block preventing access to most of the content, such as the Robo-Vision code-access section. But, we get a look at some new toys (including an exclusive Trans-portable PC and an online-only bust and statue of G1 Megatron).

Plus, there's an exclusive online Prequel Comic available for download. No, this isn't the umpteenth rerelease of IDW Prequel #1 with a variant cover, it's a brand-new 10-page comic that, naturally, features conspicuous plugs for Robo-Vision and Target itself.

Check out what's available now at Target.com/Transformers, and hopefully more content will be online soon!

Yet another intercepted transmission, this time piggybacked off a signal received by Seibertron.com.  The Sector 7 Mobile Command Center will be visiting the Midwest and the Eastern Seaboard during June, culminating with a stop at Botcon in  Providence  the last weekend of the month.  If you're a midwesterner or east coast inhabitant, it is incumbent on you as an interested party to put an end to their lies, even if it means infiltrating their MCC.  Discuss this Transformers: The Movie-related news here on our forums.

New Movie Figures In (And On) Package PDF Print E-mail

LongarmThe 2005Boards, via the Chinese TFClub board, have in-package pictures of two more Transformers: The Movie toys: High Score 100, an Autobot Real Gear video game controller, and - speaking of video games - the "as seen in the Transformers video game" Autobot tow truck Longarm.  But even more interesting might be the co-sells.  Listed as "Also Available" on the packaging for Longarm are some figures we've seen previously - namely, deluxe Arcee, the 2009 version of Bumblebee, and Dreadwing.  Also there are two figures we haven't really seen: Payload (previously known from the Wizards of the Coast battle-card game) and a remolded Jazz with a "Final Battle" prefix attached.

Check out the pictures here (or here in Chinese), and drop by @l3x's thread at the Allspark Forums to talk it over!
