Sega Japan has recently announced that they'll be releasing two versions of arcade games based on Animated, courtesy of Anime! Anime!. The first will be titled "Transformers Animated: The Chase", while the second is named "Transformers Animated: The Shooting". "The Chase" is a chasing game, where players chase after rival Transformers, while "The Shooting" is a shooting game. Both are set to be released this summer, although there will be a preview at the 2010 Tokyo International Anime Toy Fair on March 27, 2010.

So, good news and bad news for Animated in Japan! The good? Additional information on other voice actors, some of which have voiced in previous TF series and should be familiar. Several returning voices include Tōru Ōkawa as Ratchet, Kōji Yusa as Prowl, Banjō Ginga as Ultra Magnus, and Ryōka Yuzuki as Blackarachnia. The bad? Some of the changes in episode order won't flow the same way it did when Animated aired in the Western countries.

News - Announcements

Saturday, 20 March 2010

Since March Madness has begun (that's College Basketball for you non-sports fans), the Allspark is celebrating by pitting some of the most famous Transformers against one another! Starting out, there will be four conferences (Autobot, Decepticon, Maximal, and Predacon) each with sixteen characters. And yes, we too were surprised by some of the characters that made it to the top 64!

Each Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday a new batch of polls will be posted until we narrow it down to our champion!

Oh, and the twist. This isn't who would win in a fight. Or who is the better character. It's who would win in a one-on-one game of Basketball!

Check out the polls in the right-hand column of this page, and then post all of your discussion and rankings here!

Please let the editting room be nice...While actor Josh Duhamel confirmed that he'll be back playing as Lennox in TF3, two video interviews from the Las Vegas ShoWest brings a little more. From Collider, he confirmed that he's already read the script but is obviously tightlipped about it. From MTV, Duhamel backs up Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner's words about TF3 going back to the roots, plus it could depend on the editing room on how much screen time he'll get. When asked about Dinobots, Duhamel admits he can't tell.

Head to Collider for their video, and then over to MTV for their video!

Hook and Bonecrusher are back!
Eating Mudflap made me ill.
TakaraTomy March 20th Transformers releases are now shipping.  Most of the releases are Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen NEST figures currently available from Hasbro within the United States.  Among the more interesting releases to those outside of Japan are the Revenge EZ Collection Devastator G1 Colors Edition (which features a modified version of the packaging used for the Wal*Mart exclusive edition here in the USA rather than the single packed figures the first EZ Collection version used) and Disney Label Donald Duck Monochrome Edition.  Next week the first wave of Transformers Animated is released in Japan, so look forward to seeing more about those soon.

You can discuss the news here on our forums and keep up to date with TakaraTomy's releases on our 2010 Release Schedule.
