@  NotVeryKnightly : (25 July 2016 - 06:34 AM)

Not even close.

@  MEDdMI : (25 July 2016 - 05:51 AM)

What, Mayhem isn't random enough???

@  NotVeryKnightly : (25 July 2016 - 04:02 AM)

This place never feels random enough in that respect.

@  TheMightyMol... : (25 July 2016 - 02:10 AM)

I thought that was snarking at random strangers without fear of retribution.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (24 July 2016 - 07:22 PM)

Topic-specific threads are the main feature of messageboards like this, you know.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (24 July 2016 - 07:21 PM)

You should ask that in the TFWiki thread.

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 07:21 PM)

watch?v=94l4qCKMYZ0

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 07:18 PM)

there's a pewdiepie video promoting Transformers Earth Wars and it is an official promotion video, does this mean he should get a tfwiki page?

@  ▲ndrusi : (24 July 2016 - 07:01 PM)

I thought King Kong '05 was pretty great! I just wish I hadn't watched it as a double feature with that movie about the island with the giant bugs.

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 04:46 PM)

yeah it was long as hell, it took me several days to finish it.

@  Paladin : (24 July 2016 - 11:58 AM)

maybe this new one won't take half a day to watch all the way through...

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 11:00 AM)

I believe this new Kong movie will not be as good as the 2005 one.

@  Pennpenn : (24 July 2016 - 08:52 AM)

You'd figure something like that would get a pass, some kind of grandfather clause since the name is already intractably established.

@  Paladin : (24 July 2016 - 08:15 AM)

"DS-1 Orbital Battle Station." That's the official classification...

@  Bass X0 : (24 July 2016 - 08:04 AM)

now that Hasbro can't use the word "Death" on the packaging of their toys, what will they call the Death Star?

@  Whirl Maximus : (24 July 2016 - 07:44 AM)

It's in the comic con trailer and seems like a hideous waste. I guess the show makers have no reverence for Doctor Who like they do Star Trek.

@  Bass X0 : (24 July 2016 - 04:20 AM)

Which is the height of quality for Family Guy jokes...

@  Whirl Maximus : (24 July 2016 - 04:00 AM)

David Tennent has done a cutaway for Family Guy. Don't get to excited it was a fart joke.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 03:17 PM)

"Micronauts: Starring psychic Peter Quill and E123-Omega".

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 03:16 PM)

Ooh, sounds neat.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 01:16 PM)

Yeah, the first was definitely the weakest of the three. Really looking forward to the next issue; judging by the preview for it, it's delving into Karza and Shazraella's past and Microspace's exact political situation.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 01:11 PM)

I was ambivalent about the first issue, but the quality stepped up in the second and again in the third.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 10:37 AM)

And yes, Micronauts is great! I enjoyed the first three issues quite a lot.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 10:36 AM)

Cave Carson looks really cool as well, so I can't be too saddened about that.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 06:29 AM)

I ended up checking it out, and it's pretty damn neat.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 06:28 AM)

So. Micronauts, huh?

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:49 AM)

Oh, it's only backups in "Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye". Still. Onboard.

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:44 AM)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:43 AM)

Oh man, Tom Scioli's next project is a DC superhero one. Superb!

@  siccoyote : (22 July 2016 - 06:40 PM)

Feeling left out?

@  Arthur Burlo : (22 July 2016 - 06:11 PM)

"about time" ???????????????????? :(

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:08 PM)

There was a shooting near a shopping mall in Munich, currently eight or nine people are dead. Three suspects, still at large.

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

About time...

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

So now it's Germany's turn to be the target of what appears to be aterrorist attack.

@  Nutjob R/T : (22 July 2016 - 02:44 PM)

Which is kinda... I preordered the new VF-2ss, and then before it shipped there was the exclusive version with the SAP pack that was only open for two days of orders. And then I got the naked VF2ss and it's... Not... Good.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 July 2016 - 12:18 AM)

Yeah, Japanese online sellers seem to take it very seriously, in my experience. When you commit to something, it's expected that you follow through on it, and cancelled transactions seem to be frowned upon. However, I've never dealt with more courteous or considerate sellers than those in Japan; some have even enclosed a small gift item in the package on occasion.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:44 PM)

Nothing really happened, I just got an email saying I shouldn't do that.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

But I ended up buying it later since it got delayed.

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

and what did they do?

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:42 PM)

I've cancelled something with them once.

@  Nutjob R/T : (21 July 2016 - 03:27 PM)

AmiAmi is nice but if you preorder you gotta friggin' MEAN it

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 03:17 PM)

Yep, I ordered a bunch of Gundam kits from them earlier this year. The shipping was high but I had to do EMS due to the weight of the package

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:09 PM)

and amiami is a reputable site? this is the first time i'm using them.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 02:56 PM)

Oh! Nice. I guess I thought SAL was always untracked.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 01:39 PM)

Registered means it has tracking.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 01:26 PM)

Yeah it's just slower and doesn't have tracking...usually the best economic option

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 01:07 PM)

SAL is just fine

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 01:06 PM)

unless anybody has problems with "SAL Small Packet (Registered)".

It would seem to makes some sort of sense if the comic book used some sort of body design to toys in stores. Back in the day the whole point of the comic was to promote the toys.

Back in the day people under the age of thirty read comics.

That's something I think I'm probably gonna miss from Regeneration 1.

I mean I know Furman will likely be able to tell a more coherent story without the constant toy introductions, but darn it those were just such a big part of what the classic Marvel Comic was.

I'd love it if there were some TF book that still acted as marketing in that way. It got us spotlight and characterization on a wider swath of characters and made me more excited about upcoming toys. It's like back of package murals and robot points and such, just something old school I miss...

-ZacWilliam, remembers spending a month wondering what "Pretenders" could be after the next issue blurb mentioned them in the old Comics.
Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?
Or the proverbial ailerons of Titanium Moosebots?

These guys are defintely dead, since they were killed on screen:

Autobots: (all killed by the Junkions)
Broadside
Jackpot
Mainframe
Outback
Rad
Rollout
Sandstorm
Slapdash (What happens to his Nebulan anyways?)

You might want to look again. The last we see him, he's Junkion free.

When do we find out that Jackpot never returned from Axiom Nexus, and was replaced on a Transtech spy impersonating Jackpot?

How does one (who is not Unicron) go about destroying the (an) entire universe?

How does Unicron go about destroying an entire universe?

Unicron eats planets. Slowly. Eating one planet at a time is an incredibly piss-poor way of destroying an entire universe.

This just shows more and more that neither FunPub nor IDW 'get it' with TFs. When more or less random TFs (yeah, yeah, Magnus, still not near the power level required to blow up a world, much less more) just casually destroy universes for laughs, it's a sign that the writers just fail to understand the point.

There's a reason no one liked Sunstorm. Or Drift. And it's pretty basic:

If we wanted to watch Gurren Lagann, Getter Robo, Demonbane, or Ideon (and, by the by, I love the series...except Ideon which is just a 'like'), we'd watch those stories. We don't need TFs to poorly emulate the universe destroying antics of other shows. We need TFs to be TFs.

You mentioned four shows I've not watched or know about but apparently share similar tropes.

Four is okay but five with Transformers is not?

I'm thinking Transformers did the whole 'universe destroying' thing long before any of those shows were created.

Time Wars for example destroyed the post '86 movie universe in the Marvel U.K. comics. It may not have been the most straight-forward and well written of stories but it still exists.

Transformers has done epic and will continue to do epic. Transformers is not all about Megatron's latest evil plot to steal energy of the week.

I'll drop this here (posted it earlier...)

Magnus didn't actually destroy the Classicverse...

WHY the Classicverse was destroyed (when Earth was transported through the event horizon) will be revealed.

In fact, LOTS will be revealed...

And yes. Drift will be busy hunting the abominations. VERY busy...

(p.s. I get it)

"Disabled people donít have special needs. We have very reasonable human needs. Our needs include freedom from abuse, violence, and mistreatment, the right to autonomy and self-direction, the right to represent ourselves, equal opportunity for education and employment, the right to accommodation, and societal inclusion and acceptance.

The need for accommodation isnít a ďspecial needĒ. Itís a basic human right. Itís a leveling of the playing field that allows us the same opportunities and chances as non-disabled people."

This years comic has the worst possible ending for a fan who doesn't really enjoy SG figures/stories and pretty much gaurentees future SG Botcon sets.

Preeeetty much. I'm guessing the kind of G1/SG mix we got this year might be how it goes next year, too, unless they can do something with Prime figures (I expect those Hasbro Asia retools might get a workout).

But then they go and make Circuit, so that's almost all of the European Action Master Elites done as exclusives (Only Missing Omega Spreem and Turbomaster right?) If they do a FoC Bruticus as Turbomaster as SG Bruticus, I will buy it.

Circuit's not an Elite. Only Doublepunch has been done from the Elites, which leaves Omega Spreem, Turbomaster, and Windmill, none of which really have particularly good parallel figures sitting around like Doublepunch did.
Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind. That is all.

Well He was European only, like Slicer, and Thundercracker, so that's close enough to Elite for me. I keep forgetting the Elite gimmick was that they could transform, not that they had they were European.

I've been in and out of town for the past two weeks (not BotCon related, sadly), so I'm coming to this a bit late.

That said, allow me to take a moment to mourn the loss of the following (believed to have remained on Azure until and unless a future story establishes them to have found transport off-world--and specifically back to Earth):

Nightbeat
Slag
Sludge
Siren
(and the Nebulans that were hanging around with them)
