Gnaw way, dude!

There was one solitary one in Dreamwave, but the company died before he could do anything except be Wheelie's pet.

@  Bass X0 : (27 October 2016 - 10:08 AM)

Who cares about Gnaw as an individual, not just one of many generic Sharkticons? The Sharkticons never showed individuality in the cartoon or comics so I don't care for it now.

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (27 October 2016 - 12:10 AM)

Supposing that Hillary wins, then Bill will become First Ladies' Man. Hee hee.

Dude got off pretty lightly, there are far worse things to be turned into than a cat if you think about it.

@  Pennpenn : (26 October 2016 - 06:22 PM)

Wasn't the cat a person who'd been transformed into a cat as a punishment? If so, was Salem his actual name as a human? Because calling a cat that is one thing, naming a child that is another...

@  wonko the sane? : (26 October 2016 - 04:24 PM)

Hey, careful with that joke there, it's an antique.

@  Bass X0 : (26 October 2016 - 03:42 PM)

The witches from the show "Sabrina" have a cat named Salem. That's like a Jewish family having a cat named Auschwitz.

I hope whatever line follows Titans Return gives us more large Autobot Targetmasters, I want a new Crosshairs even if it ends up being a retool of the inevitable Kup.

I hate how small objects disappear into some kind of space-time breach when dropped, making it nearly impossible to find them.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (25 October 2016 - 04:42 PM)

I recall a Blurr in that '86 movie boxset. Drift retool Blurr that is. Is that set still happening?

@  Bass X0 : (25 October 2016 - 02:05 PM)

I suppose Chromedome would work again repainted red as Pointblank. I'd have preferred that to their Breakaway.

@  Blues : (25 October 2016 - 01:34 PM)

I'm still expecting a blurr with just more paint under the platinum line, but it seems like those random releases slowed down.

@  Bass X0 : (25 October 2016 - 01:31 PM)

There is surprisingly a lack of Deluxe cars in Titans Return. Knowing Hasbro we would get a red repaint of Blurr as Pointblank.

@  Blues : (25 October 2016 - 01:30 PM)

Yeah but I don't own a chromedome, and the only ones around me are nearly twenty dollars

@  Bass X0 : (25 October 2016 - 01:24 PM)

Chromedome is the best mold for Nightbeat and Siren. Blurr and Hot Rod just wouldn't work for either of them.

@  Blues : (25 October 2016 - 01:06 PM)

hmmmm I kinda want to paint my hasbro blurr into a body for takara nightbeat

@  unluckiness : (25 October 2016 - 08:34 AM)

Maybe if they'd announced it before G2 Dudicus

@  TheMightyMol... : (25 October 2016 - 08:32 AM)

I'll wait for the Urban Camo version.

@  OrionPax44 : (25 October 2016 - 08:25 AM)

If they wanna make him more authentic they need to make the plastic out of even cheaper materials. I want that KO plastic feel. It won't be Ruination without it.

@  Jalaguy : (25 October 2016 - 07:24 AM)

Yup, the new figure's bio on TakTom Mall mentions it.

@  Pennpenn : (25 October 2016 - 03:37 AM)

Then skip to 20, then back to 5, then to 10, then to 47, then back to 30, then 50, then 22, then...

Start at 1

@  Benbot : (24 October 2016 - 07:10 PM)

So should you start at issue one, or are there later jumping in points?

@  Liege : (24 October 2016 - 06:33 PM)

Totally agree: 1-50 is like Ultimate Turtles in the sense it takes all that has come before and mixes it into a satisfying revigoration that still feels fresh. I read a few issues after 50 and felt lost because I missed some of the miniseries.

@  Anguirus : (24 October 2016 - 06:02 PM)

current bit ymmv but 1-50 is a triumphant reinvention of the turtles. I can only compare it to that point in 2012 with RiD/MtMtE when we all realized "wait, TF comics can be THIS?"

@  Liege : (24 October 2016 - 05:57 PM)

It was great up til issue 50. The current direction is an interesting one (splinter and the turtles lead the foot) but the execution is lacking imho.

@  Bass X0 : (24 October 2016 - 03:13 PM)

Never read it. What was so bad about it?

@  D.M : (24 October 2016 - 10:14 AM)

Extremely no. >:p

@  Anguirus : (24 October 2016 - 09:22 AM)

@  Benbot : (24 October 2016 - 08:10 AM)

Is the IDW TMNT series worth reading?

Can't tell what some of these are, too washed out. Something that looks like a Lockdown recolor. Is there a second Depthcharge slide? I guess.

Edit: Circuit? Off to the wiki I guess. Also have no idea who Ultra Mammoth is. Or it's an Ultra Magnus pun?

Edited by gargunkle, 28 April 2012 - 02:50 PM.

Not my finest work, but when life gives you lemons, they're yellow so just paint black stripes on them and call them Bumblebee. Kids will buy them.

Correct on both counts. I had a hard time taking the pics with my phone. Powered Convoy has higher quality stuff coming at the end of the panels.

Was out at the store. Just got back to see these.

Depth Charge - like the character, like the mold. It's an off choice of alt mode for someone I associate so strongly with the water, but the robot mode look pushes it through for me. Just. I'd like him, but don't need him. Still I think it's enough to make me renew.

Ultra Mammoth - Cute idea (and we don't have an official BW Ultra Magnus yet) and big mold, but I have two of it already (Original and Nemesis) and it is SOOOOO hard to TF and kibblishous. I think it's cooler in concept than the toy will be. Leaning towards pass.

Circuit - can't see the pic clear enough to be sure, but not very interested right now. Leaning toward pass.

Scourge - No interest. Pass.

Slipstream - WANT. Can't even see it well in the pics but WANT.

Jackpot - if it had been G1, sold. I didn't collect Animated, so meh, Pass.

Breakdown - sorry but I'm too much of a G1 design purist. And not a big Stunticon fan to boot. Probably Pass.

I think there are some good Ideas here that others will love, but with only ONE that I really want I think the Sub will be a pass for me.

-ZacWilliam, impressed by the number of toys if nothing else. And want better pics of Slipstream.

Yeah, this series of figures is all over the place. Not the way to encourage subscribing, as there's going to be tons of people only interested in one or two figures, and unwilling to pay $300+ for them.

Looking for; 2005 Botcon Ratchet, Junker Classics Optimus Prime (for parts)

I can sort of understand the thinking of having them be all over the place -- I mean, if they made the whole thing, I dunno, Animated Protectobots or something, then that would be great for people who like Animated and pointless for everybody else. They're probably hoping enough people will see enough characters they want to justify getting the whole thing. (Or at least going halfsies with somebody that wants the figures you don't.)

But yeah, too much of a mixed bag for me. I like Scourge well enough (well, I'm indifferent about the character, but I don't have that mold at all, so that's a plus), and Jackpot looks kinda nice...Slipstream may be good, but overall I'm unlikely to want to pay what these are likely to cost.

"that's not a duck. I know this crowd knows what a tentacle looks like. "

Just what are they implying about this fandom? icon-arcee.gif icon-hotrod.gif

Animated Jackpot from Jazz - I can't believe I'm saying this because of how much I love Animated, but I wish it was a G1 based mold, maybe Hasbro will give me one. (wishful thinking)

RiD Scourge from generations g2 prime - (makes grabby hands) I want it, I do think Hasbro could release one retail just fine but there's no way it'd have the upside down symbol, which is a great touch. icon-ironhide.gif

Slipstream from Prime Starscream. New head - WANT!!! I dare say that's the best of the set.

Circuit from Axor - I had to look up who Circuit is, nice reuse of the mold and nice color layout.

Ultra Mammoth from Big Convoy - Always wanted this mold, look great and honestly feels like the only way we'll get a blue and red UM. Wait forgot about Animated. icon-wildride.gif

Depth Charge from Terradive - WANT SO HARD!!!!

Edit- Oops, forgot Breakdown - Looks good, but I think I like the G2 version more.

I wonder if I can afford to join this year.

I wonder if they foresee this type of service having more buyers than, say, BotCon sets or individual club figures.

I only want Ultra Mammoth (what a seriously random choice) and Scourge, so that leaves me with four toys I really don't want.

Damn, Depth Charge might just be enough for me to rejoin next year for the freebie figure. I have Terradive sitting on my desk right now, never really thought of him as a Depth Charge candidate, but I can see why - the face is somewhat similar, the trident is typically a "water" weapon, and Depth Charge does have wings.

Only figure I'm interested in is the Ultra Mammoth, seeing as I never got a copy of that mold and it's an Ultra Magnus toy. I wonder how expensive it'll be though, and whether we'll be able to get individual figures instead of all of them. Time shall tell.

Who I want the most is obvious, but I'm still somewhat interested in all of these except Circuit. Mainly because I'm not really a fan of the mold.

I figure that I'm going to handle this subscription the same way I'm planning the DC Club Infinite Earths one: Keep the figures I want, flip the others.

Also, even though that Jackpot has an Animated body, is the head stylized like Animated? Or is it a more traditional head placed on an Animated body? I'm assuming Slipstream will be the same. More typical head placed on the Prime body.
