After the season finale where RM Corp found a way to make thinking Bots, I was hoping for a continuation of the story where Paradim learned the hard way the downside of Bots that can say, "No."

@  Rycochet : (28 September 2016 - 09:40 AM)

I liked Phantom 2040 more.

@  Blues : (27 September 2016 - 05:08 PM)

I LOVE BOT MASTER SO MUCH. Too bad the toys sucked. I even own jungle fiver. I love him so much, but he can barely stand on his own.

That's the 90s.

@  MEDdMI : (27 September 2016 - 04:50 PM)

Ninjzz? That's an unfortunate name.

@  Verity Carlo : (27 September 2016 - 04:44 PM)

Also I thought Fico Ossio was quite nice on Revolutions.

@  Rycochet : (27 September 2016 - 04:36 PM)

You know the planet is in a jam, a diabolical plan of only one man. Louis Leon Paradim an international punk, and his army of 3As are his piece of junk.

@  Telly : (27 September 2016 - 04:26 PM)

for the longest time i thought jungle fiver was called jungle fiBer

@  Bass X0 : (27 September 2016 - 04:21 PM)

Does anybody remember the cartoon Bots Master? I enjoyed the show but looking back on it, most of the robot designs were lame. The only cool designs were Jungle Fiver and Ninjzz although the toys were nothing compared to Transformers of course. I thought the main human characters were decent enough for a show about robots.

@  Verity Carlo : (27 September 2016 - 02:43 PM)

Although this is odd to me, since I'm fairly sure they are/were good friends.

@  Rycochet : (27 September 2016 - 07:15 AM)

Social media is the worst thing to happen to fandom, you can now see people whose work you like being jerks or shills on a daily basis, which is worse than a bad interview or two.

@  Robowang : (27 September 2016 - 07:12 AM)

Dirty Jerk Warts?

@  Broadside : (27 September 2016 - 07:05 AM)

Also, I guess he hates IDW Soundwave for not being an emotionless brick like the cartoon version? Man. Any enjoyment of Animated in future is going to be tainted for me by the fact that DJW is the worst kind of boring Geewunner.

@  Broadside : (27 September 2016 - 07:04 AM)

He also hates Action Man for no apparent reason other than "I don't know who this is and I don't care to find out". Which isn't fair, because Ian is the best character in IDW.

@  Jalaguy : (27 September 2016 - 06:47 AM)

DJW was mouthing off about the art for Revolution the other day too, doesn't entirely surprise.

@  zephyrX9 : (26 September 2016 - 08:05 PM)

Sipher made a sarcastic remark about Sakamoto's skeeviness. Derrick called him an a**hole, and insulted his art, which was a low, unnecessary blow.

@  Pennpenn : (26 September 2016 - 03:49 AM)

I've had versions where the issue doesn't come up (or at least doesn't come up in the part I notice the most), but the version that got remastered for Bluray and DVD releases have it.

@  Nevermore : (26 September 2016 - 02:05 AM)

I initially misheard "flying tools of torment" as "we're flyin' into some torment".

@  NotVeryKnightly : (26 September 2016 - 01:08 AM)

If it's a problem with all released versions, maybe the original audio source was itself damaged?

@  Pennpenn : (25 September 2016 - 09:30 PM)

I wish they'd relase a remastered version that fixed the audio and included at least had an option to have the text crawl rather than the credits at the start.

@  Telly : (25 September 2016 - 09:27 PM)

tryin to buy the movie from amazon for $20-ish. the price of it has been fluctuating like crazy. not a day has gone by that it hasnt dropped to one price and then gone back up a few hours later. never seen a price fluctuate so much

@  Pennpenn : (25 September 2016 - 07:57 PM)

Then again, a lot of versions of the movie had pretty bad sound quality, even the most recent blu-rays mess it up in places, so it's not as much our fault if we misheard stuff.

@  Arazyr : (25 September 2016 - 07:28 PM)

When I first heard it, half of it may as well have been in a foreign language, for all I could make out. (Of course, I can say that about most music...)

@  Pennpenn : (25 September 2016 - 07:14 PM)

I can't remember entirely, and I can't "hear" anything but the actual lyrics now, but I remember "I am born to hurt you, I'll break the boundless sky" as how my brain parsed the first words.

Just thought I'd ask. I like TFP Voy Optimus better than FE Optimus, so that's not really "settling" in my mind, but I'm convincing my self that I will indeed be ok with the new Bulkhead mold as opposed to spending $70 on the FE.

I did splurge to get FE CJ and the Entertainment pack, though (granted, that last one doesn't really have a normal retail equivalent).

Didn't include the wave 1 FE deluxes due to them being pretty widely available or at least affordable on ebay. Also didn't include the Eradicon because A) hey, no more than 3 poll questions and B) Japan only.

Can't the Takaratomy releases be in the poll too? I mean, Takara's Cliffjumper has a cannon similar to the ones FE Cliffjumper had, and Takara's Optimus lacks electronics.

I think your poll needs an option that says, "I don't have much of a damn choice, do I?" icon-megs.gif

EDIT: In all seriousness though, I'll be getting the PRiD molds. As much as I'm irritated with Hasbro about the whole thing, I refuse to reward scalpers with money more.

I'd be lucky just to see anything.

But seriously why did they make two molds? It seems like such a waste of time and money to produce two separate molds.

basically, at least some of the FE molds (specifically Starscream, Arcee, and BB) were supposed to be Generations toys, but when it seemed that DotM was to push a TFP mainline back until mid-2012, they decided to give TFP a mini/preview line (FE). However, the FE toys didn't hit until November (a year after the show started...) and they cut the feet out from under DotM early, so we're now getting the TFP mainline where the FE molds are redundant to agree.

At least, that's what I've gathered.

I might settle for the Bulkhead despite that ugly as crap attachement thing and his generally less pleasing asthetic.

But I refuse to settle for PRID Prime, and if I can't get an FE Cliffjumper, I'm just not going to get a Cliffjumper.

PRiD Optimus Prime is fine. I've watched reviews for both, and I really don't see as much of a difference as everyone seems to claim.

Of course, again, not like I had a lot of damn choice. I'd much rather have the FE Cliff, and certainly the FE Bulkhead, but... again...

I think I get why there was going to be FE and main line. What I do not get is why they produced new molds for the latter. Isn't it really expensive making new molds? Did they feel the FE ones were so bad they had to start over?

Oh, and in regards to the FE vs. main line topic, I think I might actually prefer FE Arcee, but I never did see her in stores and I won't pay secondary market prices. So I guess I'm settling on her.

Once you go FE Bulkhead, you can never go back. And I refuse to get PRiD Bulkhead on account of that STUPID stupid weapon of his. That, and FE Bulk is pure sex, and there ain't no way the PRiD version can do better by it.

PRiD Prime I have because he's the only one with "real" chest windows/windshield instead of the cheaty thing going on with the FE versions. But I hate the mold to bits, and only hold onto it for that one token of accuracy.

FE Cliffjumper is just a superior toy to PRiD Cliffy. I only got PRiDjumper to pass the time until I got the FE version, and was gonna get rid of it, but will hold onto it for sentimental reasons as Cliffy WAS diagnosed on the Prime show with a case of "deadness."

I'm not a big fan of Cliffjumper either way, so I just picked up the PRiD version. But, God DAMN, are the FE versions of Prime and Bulkhead better. After I got FE Prime, I severely regretted purchasing PRiD Optimus instead of just waiting. It's just that good. PRiD Bulkhead already looks awful, so no contest there. FE Bulkhead is so satisfyingly hefty, too.

If you get them next to each other in reality, there's world of difference. FE Optimus has these great superheroic proportions and a very dynamic look in general (not to mention a smoother transformation), while PRiD Optimus feels more like some lanky guy in an Optimus suit. It's weird, but that's the best way I can put it. Plus the PRiD gun is dumb as hell, since it "transforms", so to speak, for no discernable reason.

Since Cliffjumper has been one of my favorite characters and I can't afford to get the FE version, I decided to get the RID version. I completely disappointed by it. It's not it's necessarily a bad toy, it's just that it makes me want the FE version even more.

I'd like FE Cliffjumper, but I mean, come on. 40 god damn dollars? No thanks.

I may shoot for FE Optimus, who looks like a bargain on Ebay compared to some Cliffjumper prices. And Bulkhead looks really good too, but he's priced worse than Optimus.

This whole thing is a mess.

I played with a friend's PRID Optimus, and he was really fun to handle. That his gun is a block of nothing half the time was really the one thing I disliked. Really turned me around from disliking the pictures of the toy and even the toy in package to wanting one.

So right now it's a conflict among "Get PRID Prime now," "Wait for the Weaponizer (which looks really nice)" or "Wait to see if the Voyager PRID Optimus repaint that will inevitably be announced has a cooler weapon."

First Edition is off the table for me unless Hasbro rereleases it later (I could get it, but it's not "must have" enough to justify the expense for me).

I've got the First Editions for all three but have been kicking around the idea of buying the Prid ones as well and display those ones in vehicle mode.
