Oh, it's only backups in "Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye". Still. Onboard.

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:08 PM)

There was a shooting near a shopping mall in Munich, currently eight or nine people are dead. Three suspects, still at large.

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

About time...

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

So now it's Germany's turn to be the target of what appears to be aterrorist attack.

@  Nutjob R/T : (22 July 2016 - 02:44 PM)

Which is kinda... I preordered the new VF-2ss, and then before it shipped there was the exclusive version with the SAP pack that was only open for two days of orders. And then I got the naked VF2ss and it's... Not... Good.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 July 2016 - 12:18 AM)

Yeah, Japanese online sellers seem to take it very seriously, in my experience. When you commit to something, it's expected that you follow through on it, and cancelled transactions seem to be frowned upon. However, I've never dealt with more courteous or considerate sellers than those in Japan; some have even enclosed a small gift item in the package on occasion.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:44 PM)

Nothing really happened, I just got an email saying I shouldn't do that.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

But I ended up buying it later since it got delayed.

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

and what did they do?

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:42 PM)

I've cancelled something with them once.

@  Nutjob R/T : (21 July 2016 - 03:27 PM)

AmiAmi is nice but if you preorder you gotta friggin' MEAN it

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 03:17 PM)

Yep, I ordered a bunch of Gundam kits from them earlier this year. The shipping was high but I had to do EMS due to the weight of the package

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:09 PM)

and amiami is a reputable site? this is the first time i'm using them.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 02:56 PM)

Oh! Nice. I guess I thought SAL was always untracked.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 01:39 PM)

Registered means it has tracking.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 01:26 PM)

Yeah it's just slower and doesn't have tracking...usually the best economic option

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 01:07 PM)

SAL is just fine

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 01:06 PM)

unless anybody has problems with "SAL Small Packet (Registered)".

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 01:03 PM)

Okay, I got it down to 11,930 (£85) with SAL Small Packet (Registered). Thats better. £101 would be too much for two Deluxes and a Voyager even with better (IMO) color schemes.

@  MEDdMI : (21 July 2016 - 01:02 PM)

That's about 101.55 British pounds

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 12:58 PM)

Is 14,200 Yen worth it for Takara Skull, Hardhead and Galvatron with shipping to the UK from amiami?

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (21 July 2016 - 11:38 AM)

I doubt anyone takes it seriously that Primax 1005.19 Gamma is indeed the original universe. That author comment is bound to be contradicted by some multiverse story down the road, anyway. Even Vector Prime in AVP said that even if it were true, there is no way for him or his colleagues to discern so, which obviates any substantial impact of "Elegant Chaos".

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 10:48 AM)

I remember my silly haunted toy thread, 10 people voted 1 star or so sniff http://www.allspark....d-transformers/ I don't believe in haunted stuff but I still made the thread for the lulz.

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 10:42 AM)

no, he left it ambigious actually.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 10:42 AM)

So someone already contradicted him.

@  Locoman : (21 July 2016 - 10:41 AM)

So really who can say

@  Locoman : (21 July 2016 - 10:41 AM)

But Vector Prime said that it just altered THAT universe's properties, allowing for the development of things like the Functionist world

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 10:19 AM)

I know he didn't create the IDW universe but he's the writer of one of its titles, that's why I said "his universe".

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 10:15 AM)

Also it's not exactly "his (Roberts') universe" since Barber exists, even if you ignore all the earlier IDW stuff.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 10:13 AM)

And it's specifically the intent rather than something that's actually in the story.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 10:11 AM)

I didn't listen to the podcast but the transcript has a bunch of laughing and he does specify "until someone can contradict me".

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 09:52 AM)

https://scans-daily....rg/5212318.html http://www.transmiss...ons-episode-94/

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 09:51 AM)

james roberts says it did.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 09:43 AM)

Perceptor said that the briefcase made alternate universes possible or something but it's not like Perceptor actually knows how all this works.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 09:42 AM)

It... didn't?

@  tffan01 : (21 July 2016 - 09:37 AM)

So, wait does Elegant Chaos story made the IDW universe the main TF continuity? What with it being the base universe. This sucks, there shouldn't be a main universe wtf, James Roberts is just trying to make his universe the most important one. If there has to be a main universe (which I don't think there should) it has to be the G1 cartoon.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 08:32 AM)

You can drop them, if they are fresh.

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 07:40 AM)

Did you know there are over 100 things you can do with beets?

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 07:30 AM)

The amazing beet

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 07:30 AM)

Sounds like you guys are talking about beets!

@  PlutoniumBoss : (21 July 2016 - 01:03 AM)

Boilem mashem stickem in a stew...

@  The Doctor Who : (20 July 2016 - 07:36 PM)

I could totally see toasting them, smashing them up and using for ice cream topping.

@  MEDdMI : (20 July 2016 - 07:14 PM)

Chop them up, throw it on some cake batter, use as pie crust.... (just kidding, never tried that but someone probably has)

@  MEDdMI : (20 July 2016 - 07:13 PM)

You can microwave them, too!

Both me and a friend of mine have stumbled onto this odd lizard-guy toy in an used toy shop in Hungary - it's still there...

It's quite large (Voyager sized) and has some electronics (sounds most likely) as evident by the holes in it. Quite heavy too. The style reminds me of the show Bucky O'Hare, but I could not find pictures of any such character online... Any help is appreciated.

It's not from Bucky O'Hare. The figures weren't that big to begin with. If you see it again, maybe try to find the manufacturer marks?

Just checked the virtual toychest, its not a bucky toy. The styling could also lean towards TMNT in the 80's.

I'm guessing something out of the mid-late 90's based on the excessive size.

I thought it might've been from Street Sharks, since they were pretty big figures... but I can't find a match and it's not quite the right aesthetic for that line anyway. It really looks more like a Bucky O'Hare or 90s TMNT figure, but the scale sounds way off.

I want to say there was some kind of "sister line" to Bucky O'Hare but I'm blanking on what it was called.

I guess in the end, I'll buy it just to be sure it's not some rare toy. icon-hotrod.gif I'll post better pics then - this one was taken by my friend's cellphone. I checked the manufacturer when I was there, and am pretty sure it was some company I never heard about.

The shop sells toys by weight, so this one is about 6$ as it's quite heavy. They get used toys by the dozen from the UK every week, and I already found some good stuff there (like a Rock Shot Rocklord, Optimal Optimus, RID Magnus...)

Kalidor - pic's hosted on a hungarian site, maybe your service blocks that...

I've never heard of a store selling toys by weight. How bizarre! I just picture a place like Bulk Barn with bins of toys that you would scoop up and put in plastic bags.

"I'll take 200 grams of MiniCons, and maybe a pound of First Edition Bulkhead."

"We don't have any First Edition Bulkhead today, sir... would you like some First Edition Starscreams?"

Well, Bucky was from Hasbro, so... yeah, definitely not. icon-arcee.gif

I'm not having much luck figuring it out myself, and I'm usually a wizard at these things. I'd wager you're looking at some short-lived line from a tiny company in the 90s/early 00s that was trying to cash in on the mutant animal/EXTREME! craze.

Mind you, these are all loose toys in various state - that RID Magnus was a real junker.

There is a huge import clothes industry in my country - they get them by the ton from the UK - and as I understand, lots of used toys are also shipped with these (I have my suspicions they were supposed to go to poor kids as donations...) There are tons of stores like these, which sell used clothes (most of them barely used, mind you). But only 1-2 that deal with toys only.

Unfortunately, the store clerk's kid seems into TFs, so he swipes them for him lately... My friend did manage to assemble a quite impressive Power Rangers Megazord collection from what's left, though.
