It's in with their other pre-packaged Chex Mixes on the chip/snack aisle, and for a 10.5oz back, it was $2.50 before tax. Not a bad price compared to the cost of making it yourself. Might not be chocolatey or peanut buttery enough for some people, but it's a darn good way to scratch this particular snack itch when it comes around and you feel like being lazy.

No, this - chex coated with melted chocolate and peanut butter, and that is then coated in powdered sugar. It is the food of the GODS.

And Liege, you're words really have had an effect on me. It made me relise I've shouldn't care about what others think of me, I should only care about what I think of myself.

Liege is a small dude with a lot of wisdom.

Well one of those descriptive words is accurate I suppose!

You know, I think Purina makes a dog food called "Puppy Chow".

Yes, they do.

This kind of puppy chow, however, is delicious. This news pleases me, even though our local grocery store already sells the stuff.

The homemade stuff is wonderful, but messy to put together. I've been tempted by this but not sure how well it would hold up to the manufacturing process.

My thoughts exactly... These've always been Muddy Buddies to me, so the topic confused me.

My local no-kill shelter is in real trouble, story is HERE :(

If anyone can donate (click the logo below) or just share this story with everyone they know, I'd really appreciate it.

Holds up pretty darn well, in my opinion.

Hmmm, not exactly an approved part of my P90X diet, but I might need to give it a shot. icon-hotrod.gif

Can't say I've ever heard of either Muddy Buddies or human Puppy Chow, nor have I made or eaten anything like what's described in this thread.

But now I think I want to.

It's so weird to me that there's people who haven't heard of puppy chow, it just seems so ubiquitous.

I've never heard it called muddy buddies though....so whatever.

.....now I really want some...

Enh... Chex barely seems to exist in Canada, so I doubt I'll ever see this variety.

The simplest way to dissuade me from any food is to refer to it as "puppy chow".

But now that I know what it is, I'd like to try some.

Just to throw another name in the mix, I knew it first as "Frosty Treasures" partly because it tends to get made during the holidays. This version is made with Crispix instead of Chex which is a little better imo, because the openings in the Crispix are a larger and let more of the chocolate/peanutbutter get inside.
