They said he will appear in an earlier interview. Can't remember where/when.

You might be mis-remembering. There's been interviews where they stated that if Skywarp or Thundercracker appeared they'd have their own models, but those were only hypothetical. I've done some searching, and I've found nothing confirming Skywarp is appearing on the show.

Good catch!

I wonder if this will be Prime's 'Thrill of the Hunt'...

Also, MECH AND STARSCREAM. YES.

That was my first thought. But I'm guessing it's Ironhide and Dreadwing.

Considering Prime kinda has its own characterisations (Wheeljack in particular), who this 'legendary' and 'rogue' character is, is entirely up to the writers. Could be anyone. If I was going with established cross continuity stuff, I'd say Grimlock would be a prime candidate over Ironhide. But then it could easily end up being ninja Cybertron baseball all star Ironhide gone rogue. And he wears a hat. Try homogenising that into the aligned continuity.

The reason folks are guessing Ironhide is because we know he's getting Prime toys, that's all.

-ZacWilliam, with millions of years after Exiles pretty much anything would be easy to massage in I think...
