@  NotVeryKnightly : (24 July 2016 - 07:22 PM)

Topic-specific threads are the main feature of messageboards like this, you know.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (24 July 2016 - 07:21 PM)

You should ask that in the TFWiki thread.

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 07:21 PM)

watch?v=94l4qCKMYZ0

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 07:18 PM)

there's a pewdiepie video promoting Transformers Earth Wars and it is an official promotion video, does this mean he should get a tfwiki page?

@  ▲ndrusi : (24 July 2016 - 07:01 PM)

I thought King Kong '05 was pretty great! I just wish I hadn't watched it as a double feature with that movie about the island with the giant bugs.

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 04:46 PM)

yeah it was long as hell, it took me several days to finish it.

@  Paladin : (24 July 2016 - 11:58 AM)

maybe this new one won't take half a day to watch all the way through...

@  tffan01 : (24 July 2016 - 11:00 AM)

I believe this new Kong movie will not be as good as the 2005 one.

@  Pennpenn : (24 July 2016 - 08:52 AM)

You'd figure something like that would get a pass, some kind of grandfather clause since the name is already intractably established.

@  Paladin : (24 July 2016 - 08:15 AM)

"DS-1 Orbital Battle Station." That's the official classification...

@  Bass X0 : (24 July 2016 - 08:04 AM)

now that Hasbro can't use the word "Death" on the packaging of their toys, what will they call the Death Star?

@  Whirl Maximus : (24 July 2016 - 07:44 AM)

It's in the comic con trailer and seems like a hideous waste. I guess the show makers have no reverence for Doctor Who like they do Star Trek.

@  Bass X0 : (24 July 2016 - 04:20 AM)

Which is the height of quality for Family Guy jokes...

@  Whirl Maximus : (24 July 2016 - 04:00 AM)

David Tennent has done a cutaway for Family Guy. Don't get to excited it was a fart joke.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 03:17 PM)

"Micronauts: Starring psychic Peter Quill and E123-Omega".

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 03:16 PM)

Ooh, sounds neat.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 01:16 PM)

Yeah, the first was definitely the weakest of the three. Really looking forward to the next issue; judging by the preview for it, it's delving into Karza and Shazraella's past and Microspace's exact political situation.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 01:11 PM)

I was ambivalent about the first issue, but the quality stepped up in the second and again in the third.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 10:37 AM)

And yes, Micronauts is great! I enjoyed the first three issues quite a lot.

@  Sockie : (23 July 2016 - 10:36 AM)

Cave Carson looks really cool as well, so I can't be too saddened about that.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 06:29 AM)

I ended up checking it out, and it's pretty damn neat.

@  Broadside : (23 July 2016 - 06:28 AM)

So. Micronauts, huh?

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:49 AM)

Oh, it's only backups in "Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye". Still. Onboard.

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:44 AM)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

@  Maruten : (23 July 2016 - 03:43 AM)

@  Arthur Burlo : (22 July 2016 - 06:11 PM)

"about time" ???????????????????? :(

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:08 PM)

There was a shooting near a shopping mall in Munich, currently eight or nine people are dead. Three suspects, still at large.

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

About time...

@  Nevermore : (22 July 2016 - 05:07 PM)

So now it's Germany's turn to be the target of what appears to be aterrorist attack.

@  Nutjob R/T : (22 July 2016 - 02:44 PM)

Which is kinda... I preordered the new VF-2ss, and then before it shipped there was the exclusive version with the SAP pack that was only open for two days of orders. And then I got the naked VF2ss and it's... Not... Good.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 July 2016 - 12:18 AM)

Yeah, Japanese online sellers seem to take it very seriously, in my experience. When you commit to something, it's expected that you follow through on it, and cancelled transactions seem to be frowned upon. However, I've never dealt with more courteous or considerate sellers than those in Japan; some have even enclosed a small gift item in the package on occasion.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:44 PM)

Nothing really happened, I just got an email saying I shouldn't do that.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

But I ended up buying it later since it got delayed.

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:43 PM)

and what did they do?

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 03:42 PM)

I've cancelled something with them once.

@  Nutjob R/T : (21 July 2016 - 03:27 PM)

AmiAmi is nice but if you preorder you gotta friggin' MEAN it

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 03:17 PM)

Yep, I ordered a bunch of Gundam kits from them earlier this year. The shipping was high but I had to do EMS due to the weight of the package

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 03:09 PM)

and amiami is a reputable site? this is the first time i'm using them.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 02:56 PM)

Oh! Nice. I guess I thought SAL was always untracked.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 July 2016 - 01:39 PM)

Registered means it has tracking.

@  Dracula : (21 July 2016 - 01:26 PM)

Yeah it's just slower and doesn't have tracking...usually the best economic option

@  Benbot : (21 July 2016 - 01:07 PM)

SAL is just fine

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 01:06 PM)

unless anybody has problems with "SAL Small Packet (Registered)".

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 01:03 PM)

Okay, I got it down to 11,930 (£85) with SAL Small Packet (Registered). Thats better. £101 would be too much for two Deluxes and a Voyager even with better (IMO) color schemes.

@  MEDdMI : (21 July 2016 - 01:02 PM)

That's about 101.55 British pounds

@  Bass X0 : (21 July 2016 - 12:58 PM)

Is 14,200 Yen worth it for Takara Skull, Hardhead and Galvatron with shipping to the UK from amiami?

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (21 July 2016 - 11:38 AM)

I doubt anyone takes it seriously that Primax 1005.19 Gamma is indeed the original universe. That author comment is bound to be contradicted by some multiverse story down the road, anyway. Even Vector Prime in AVP said that even if it were true, there is no way for him or his colleagues to discern so, which obviates any substantial impact of "Elegant Chaos".

A mullet? Really?

Typically, the hair from the 80s cartoon is supposed to be stupider.

And wasn't she the medic of the ThunderCats? Now she's a angsty gladiator?

While I hated those Wildstorm comics (save the Origins mini), I thought the name "Doberlord" was hilariously awesome. So I kinda would like it if they carried that over, yearh.

The medic thing was made up for the comics as...she didn't really have a role in the G1 cartoon other than "the other lady on the team".

I was trying to remember earlier today if she had some kind of job. Really, after a couple years stranded on Third Earth, other lady on the team was probably role that everyone appreciated.

Previews are up on Thundercats.org as well as design sheets of Pumyra, Dobo, and some of the dog gladiators. Great designs, btw. Love how much of their armor is made of discarded technology they no longer know how to use.

Was the "mace for head" robot guy a hommage from the old show, btw?

Umm, I fail to see any significant difference in her hairstyle compared to the old version.

And the whole hatred against Lion-O (and maybe the whole royal family?) just makes her more interesting. Wonder what caused that...

Dan Norton has uploaded tons and tons of designs, sketches, and even early concept art of characters and vehicles from the show, it's worth checking out - even a lot of minor characters are there like the Drifter, the Duelist, Khamai, Shen... Oh, and guide on how the Berbils transform!

Also, LIon-O's mom was supposed to be called Leona, but much like with Chrysalis in MLP FiM, it was never used in the show.

The Thunderkittens sub-plot took way too much time away from the main story.

I really hope Pumyra sticks around beyond the freeing of the Thundarians from Plundarr Mines.

My thoughts are kinda random on this episode. I'm not sure I could make a cohesive review on it. So I think I'll just leave you all some some of these tid bits.

Cheetara: She must have survived the fall of Thundera.
Me: Now, now! Let's not jump to conclusions. It's entirely possible she died.

The cats don't seem to like the gladitorial arena...because...you know...it's so barbaric...unlike that ringing the bell game they had in Thundera.

And darn it all, Pumyra seems to have gotten my furry fetish in an uproar again.....but you'll never hear me say that out loud <_<

I absolutely must go through the entire season and count how many times Wilhelm's bought it.

I'm not really sure I care for the resolution. The build up was great and all, but it seems Pumyra and Dobo had a change of heart just a bit too easily.

Eh, it's a slight improvement, as it looks like hair, instead of some sort of weird dead animal on her head. Plus, it doesn't look like she has a bad make up job, but it looks like its part of her colorations.

Don't get me wrong, I don't love the look, but it is a decent attempt to update the horrible look she originally had.

My question is when exactly Panthro was a slave of the Dogs? It must've been some adventure he was one before he adn Grune went on their world tour. I liked how they did the flashback with lots of vague shapes; they were cutting their enemies up with axes while working around the gore. Nice bit of direction to meet BS&P.

Or not. Panthro & Grune were apparently gone for a long time. After Panthro & Grune parted company, he could have been forced into slavery. Grune & Mumra didn't immediately attack Thundera, because Mumra had to build his army of lizard people.

Or at least that a guess where you could fit this in.

I hate to say it, but I know how you feel...

I like that she's got a good deal of characterization. Bitter, a fighter, and still hopeful, as given by the ending. I just hope we keep her (and any other rescued slaves) on as part of the full team. I mean, Thundertank didn't just quintuple in size to be cool after all.

I have to admit though, as much as I get bored with the kittens antics, the Cleptovoyancy idea is something I have GOT to use in D&D.
