My hometown is where the Volvo power train plant is, which was formerly the Mack power train plant, and still makes parts for Mack trucks.

Well, this weekend they're having an open house. I was initially going to pass on it because I've seen that plant, because I used to work in their HR department.

But then I found out that there's a special guest:

Megatron.

Or rather, the truck they used in the film. Has this appeared at other locations? Is it worth checking out?

Edit: It's this event, and I've decided I'm going. Pictures will follow.

Edit 2: Pictures I took are here

I don't know and yeas. At the least you can lay under the truck and have some one take a picture.

I'm not a fan of voting on peoples posts. it just seems very passive aggressive to click 'down vote' and not add anything to the thread. and up votes are exactly the same. to my mind the whole point of a forum is discussion and being able to just easily agree or disagree takes the discussion out of the equation.

Hey, I live within walking distance of the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, and they have the Bumblebee prop sitting right inside the entrance. The way I see it, you have slightly less of an excuse than I do to see something cool and TF-related and snap a few photos.

And come to think of it, have we even seen that much of it for publicity stuff, like we have for the Chevys?

Go, and then send some nice photos!

The little Jetfire exhibit next to the SR-71 at the Udvar-Hazy annex is pretty neat. Appearently Bay gave most of the props they used filming there to the museum.

And in a year or so, Discovery will be behind the SR-71, so we'll have two Transformers film aircraft there.
