A new version of Voyager Class Optimus Prime has surfaced on Yahoo! Japan Auctions.
He sports a new Mech Tech weapon which is a double-bladed axe, and it looks like the figure is also redecoed.

Wow! A Mech Tech weapon that I actually like!

I still don't really care for that Optimus mold...But give us more weapons like that!

There's only room in here for one,
And I've decided it's not you.
I had to do what must be done.
YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT TOO!
Suddenly I'm feeling strange...

Has the top of the truck nose been remolded too?

EDIT: Looking at it again I guess not, but not having the "solar-panel" look makes it look that way.

The axe reminds me of Chopster without the robot mode.

Man, that should have been Optimus' original mechtech weapon. It suits him a lot better than a giant blaster and it's just a better design overall.

While the original version's MT gun was growing on me, I was pretty well set against getting the mold for its downgrade in accuracy compared to BBOP. However, with a substantially different weapon like this, I might get it. When was the last time Prime had an axe, anyway? His MP toy?

Ooh, that's gorgeous. The dark primary color with the red splashed and those flames looks great on that toy. Really like the (5mm, huzzah) energy axe, too. I think I know what I'll get to be my new Voyager-scale Prime, allowing Classics Magnus to be Magnus again.

Hm. Am I the only one thinking that axe'd also work great for WFC Prime?

Yeah.

I need this.

"Disabled people donít have special needs. We have very reasonable human needs. Our needs include freedom from abuse, violence, and mistreatment, the right to autonomy and self-direction, the right to represent ourselves, equal opportunity for education and employment, the right to accommodation, and societal inclusion and acceptance.

The need for accommodation isnít a ďspecial needĒ. Itís a basic human right. Itís a leveling of the playing field that allows us the same opportunities and chances as non-disabled people."

Thanks, I'm an idiot. Guess I didn't think of them because they weren't orange or something.

I just love how compact that Optimus is. Looks like it'd be a great toy. You know, easy to transform unlike Battle Blades.

I might have to get him just for the axe. WfC Prime might like it (if the peg size fits). Shame I can't pair it to RotF Voyager Optimus.

I would think not, if it's ever going to pass safety testing.

Only QC could mess that up. The Mech Tech weapons are 5mm. If you don't trust my eyes, well, a guy posted pictures of a Leader Starscream holding some in his 5mm pegholes. I SUPPOSE one of a line of compatible weapons could be different, but that seems very unlikely!
