What happens if you don't like pi?

@  Bass X0 : (29 May 2016 - 01:29 PM)

He who doesn't like pie are destined to become the contents of pie.

@  Foffy the Sheep : (29 May 2016 - 12:09 PM)

His big scene in the big Astrotrain battle for leadership was also great. Too bad Starscream suckerpunched him after he beat everybody else up

@  Pennpenn : (29 May 2016 - 01:00 AM)

Of course he has. I mean, remember when Trailbreaker had to pretend to be him in Masquerade?

@  Plokatron : (28 May 2016 - 11:18 PM)

Transfer Uplinks look cool but in the wrong hands could be OP. Hmmm Just a funny thought what if Mainframe from G1 had a TU? He could make about anything period. Also does anyone know if CatSCAN ever received a spark? His wiki article says he is a spark less build when he was created surly he has one now.

As an UK expat, I have to say I miss the actual thrill of hunting in stores as frustrating as it was when distribution was bad. I feel spoiled for choice in America in comparison lol.

@  Steevy Maximus : (27 May 2016 - 04:48 PM)

And depending on where you live, even American stores

@  wonko the sane? : (27 May 2016 - 02:59 PM)

Or canadian stores, or australian stores, or german stores...

@  Bass X0 : (27 May 2016 - 02:14 PM)

at least you got the exercise. i ordered all of them online. there's no point in being a serious collector if someone is only going to rely on using UK stores.

@  Whirl Maximus : (27 May 2016 - 02:13 PM)

This day last year I walked five miles to Asda to collect all the Defensor components. I was a dumb kid.

Nothing better than a big ol' black one right in my mouth. Gotta love licorice.

@  Dracula : (27 May 2016 - 07:26 AM)

The one I go to gives me a discount on each issue's cover price. I still have to go there to pick up my comics but I'm sure I'll never miss any of them

@  Dracula : (27 May 2016 - 07:26 AM)

Plokatron, I don't think many comics companies do direct subscriptions like that anymore. However many local comic shops will reserve comics for you in a subscription fashion.

@  Foffy the Sheep : (27 May 2016 - 06:46 AM)

I have a friend who is one of the illegitimte comics trivia masters on the planet, and he says all the animation was hand-drawn by Muppets.

@  Scavgraphics : (27 May 2016 - 04:21 AM)

@Telly I got a friend who's one of the legit comics trivia masters on the planet. I've asked if he knows.

@  Plokatron : (26 May 2016 - 10:35 PM)

Been wondering and I'm probly being a complete slag brain and not notice whats in front of me. But does IDW have subscriptions available on their site? I'm thinking of signing up for monthly comics and Transformers is da one.

@  unluckiness : (26 May 2016 - 09:01 PM)

No idea, but I'd guess it'd be some in-studio job otherwise, given the obssessiveness nerds can have over about 50 years, we'd know by now.

@  Telly : (26 May 2016 - 08:54 PM)

does anyone know who did the "animation" for the 1960s batman show? been wondering for years and i cant find an answer anywhere. looks to me like either jack kirby or john romita

@  Dracula : (26 May 2016 - 03:36 PM)

YEAH GOT MY ORDER NOTICE TOO

@  Dracula : (26 May 2016 - 02:38 PM)

@  PlutoniumBoss : (26 May 2016 - 11:06 AM)

I got my 10 day email for Dia Battles. GET. HYPE.

@  Lazy Garou : (26 May 2016 - 11:05 AM)

right now to avoid spoilers and such you have to basically leave the planet.

@  TriBlurr : (26 May 2016 - 10:42 AM)

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2016 - 09:39 AM)

They apparently did it for "shock value", despite it not being particularly shocking or having value.

@  Touch My Thighs : (26 May 2016 - 09:39 AM)

Wow, way to spoil it for people.

@  Lazy Garou : (26 May 2016 - 09:03 AM)

Captain America Hidra Agent all this time? Bleugh, sounds like something DC would do.

A lot of fans seem to prefer the animation models of certain G1 charcters to their toys. The main examples being Ironhide, Ratchet, Swindle, Galvatron, Reflector and the Seekers.

To this end, most of us clamour for the likes of the Classics Seekers and Jetfire to mention a few. Trust me, I love my Encore Ironhide and Ratchet since I got the custom clip on heads and the reissue Anime Bumblebee from a few years back.

However, to me some Transformers actually look better in toy form. My examples are as follows:

Menasor

Motormaster (I hate his bland, boring animation model's head)

Dead End

Dragstrip (I'm actually 50/0 on this one)

Ultra Magnus

Hot Spot

High Brow

So what do you guys think?

All the G1 Autobot Targetmasters looked a hell of a lot better than their animation models. Particularly Pointblank.
Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind. That is all.

Animated Safeguard, just the combined robot mode.

The Rebirth models or the Headmaster models?

Rebirth models, since the Headmaster models basically are the toys. But the difference right there kind of makes my point.

95% of the Animated toy line (there's the obvious ugly ones like Blitzwing and Cybertronian Megatron)

Total agreement there. (Althought, I might notch it a bit back from 95%.) The animation models weren't all that specific on some of their points & didn't really depend on really being 3D. The toys did a good job of representing the characters to the best of their ability, while also fixing the shortcomings of the animation model.

So yeah, in general, the toys were better than the show models.

And yes, I was too lazy to come up with a decent TF related forum name, and just *GASP* used my own.
