@  Boomhauer : (12 February 2016 - 12:45 PM)

Optimus already got to fly in RID's Season finale, though one could argue he was just falling with style instead of flying properly.

@  Rycochet : (12 February 2016 - 12:09 PM)

The Unicron Trilogy had awful shows but some really neat toys even if it did get off to a shaky start with some of the unnecessarily flawed Armada stuff.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (12 February 2016 - 12:09 PM)

Didn't he fly in Beast Hunters?

@  NotVeryKnightly : (12 February 2016 - 11:58 AM)

What about Animated?

@  TheMightyMol... : (12 February 2016 - 11:55 AM)

Someone who never saw the Unicron Trilogy. God do I envy them....

@  Paladin : (12 February 2016 - 11:49 AM)

...Hasbro's billing that new "Power Surge Optimus Prime" as "the first time Optimus takes flight." who thought THAT sounded right....

@  TheMightyMol... : (12 February 2016 - 11:34 AM)

More likely, they'll all follow the same visual style to retain brand coherency. The most you could hope for is better writing, but don't hold your breath.

@  Dracula : (12 February 2016 - 10:25 AM)

Cool. Bay can't possibly direct all of those. Maybe we'll get someone else's vision of what a TF movie could look like.

@  Paladin : (12 February 2016 - 10:14 AM)

ugh. we're apparently getting 1 TF film A YEAR starting 2017. and Bumblebee gets a spinoff film...

@  Plokatron : (11 February 2016 - 03:23 PM)

Guess no one has the comic then. Blast I need that close up of Ironhide's helmet!

@  Arazyr : (11 February 2016 - 01:41 PM)

Happy Birthday, young'un. 8^)

@  D Buster Prime : (11 February 2016 - 01:21 PM)

It's my BIRTHDAY! I'm 35 years young!

@  BillBarclay : (11 February 2016 - 10:54 AM)

nah! it's Venus that's going to Botcon!

@  Paladin : (11 February 2016 - 10:45 AM)

could've also meant Cree Summer...

@  Dracula : (11 February 2016 - 08:39 AM)

Good going, Blackarachnia. I heard it's been hard for her to get roles after Hasbro brought in Airachnid.

@  BillBarclay : (11 February 2016 - 06:34 AM)

you mean Venus Terzo! she's supposed to be going to Botcon

@  Whirl Maximus : (11 February 2016 - 03:23 AM)

Blackarachnia was on Supernatural last night.

@  Plokatron : (10 February 2016 - 11:08 PM)

Ponderous slagging ponderous. Hey anyone got some good Hi-res captures of Ironhide in Infestation? I really need close ups of his head for reference on a project.

@  Plokatron : (09 February 2016 - 10:46 PM)

Ok now this is funny. I ordered a used copy of HoS GN and the one I got was a library copy once. It's marked Union County on it. Thats my home county. :D It never was in my library though. Mine is named after the man who built it not the town or county but still kinda funny.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (09 February 2016 - 09:44 PM)

Is it sad I read "KF7 Soviet" as "KFC7 Soviet"?

@  TheMightyMol... : (09 February 2016 - 03:38 PM)

Neat.

@  Dracula : (09 February 2016 - 03:35 PM)

A what? Oh, you must mean a KF7 Soviet. Common mistake.

@  TheMightyMol... : (09 February 2016 - 03:22 PM)

Can I just get an AK-47 instead?

@  Telly : (09 February 2016 - 02:35 PM)

this is form 47-a. you want form 47-A. start again

@  MEDdMI : (09 February 2016 - 02:07 PM)

Now you didn't fill the form in black or blue ink. Do it again.

@  Rycochet : (09 February 2016 - 02:04 PM)

You made a typo on the first page of the forms, you're going to have to go back and fill the whole form out again, from first to final.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (09 February 2016 - 01:31 PM)

"bats"

@  Dracula : (09 February 2016 - 01:09 PM)

Nice and soft, you say? This isn't even my final form!!!!

@  Telly : (09 February 2016 - 12:47 PM)

its nice and soft like YOU dracula *bats eyelashes* and thatll probly be the last thing i post in this thing now lol

@  Dracula : (09 February 2016 - 08:52 AM)

It's course and rough...wait that doesn't work

@  NotVeryKnightly : (09 February 2016 - 08:43 AM)

It gets everywhere?

@  Paladin : (09 February 2016 - 07:57 AM)

i hate snow.

@  BillBarclay : (08 February 2016 - 04:58 PM)

btw one of the Transformers Victory intro's(not the original music used) on YouTube uses one of the pieces of music used on the US version of Transformers Armada

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 03:55 PM)

You should read it again, it gets better with age!

@  Whirl Maximus : (08 February 2016 - 03:46 PM)

I am fully aware of that story and mentioning it carries the penalty of fifty towel snaps.

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 03:31 PM)

Shh, it's a trap!

@  TheMightyMol... : (08 February 2016 - 02:48 PM)

See, you said "awesome" and "The Beast" in the same sentence, and I think you broke my mind with the contradiction.

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 02:42 PM)

No-one tell Whirl about the awesome dinobot combiner, The Beast.

@  Plokatron : (08 February 2016 - 02:37 PM)

@Dracula Uh oh were in trouble.

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 02:36 PM)

If you think that's cool, wait until you see what other stuff we're hiding from you.

@  Whirl Maximus : (08 February 2016 - 02:33 PM)

Transformers Victory's intro is awesome. And not one of you told me.... WHY?!!!

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 10:43 AM)

It doesn't count those using it on other pages.

@  Rycochet : (08 February 2016 - 10:43 AM)

If it's the one by IPB Shoutbox, it means the number of people who are viewing the Shoutbox page.

@  tffan01 : (08 February 2016 - 10:34 AM)

Where's the red numbers?

@  Lush City : (08 February 2016 - 09:23 AM)

Ok total newb to the shoutbox, but what do the red numbers in the corner mean?

@  Whirl Maximus : (08 February 2016 - 09:09 AM)

Thought it would lead to hi jinks and a lark like that movie Idiocracy instead it turned into something disturbing and traumatic like that movie Small Soldiers.

@  Dracula : (08 February 2016 - 08:55 AM)

You used MUNITION CHIPS in TOYS??

@  tffan01 : (08 February 2016 - 08:02 AM)

hi

@  Robowang : (08 February 2016 - 07:58 AM)

SEX

@  Whirl Maximus : (08 February 2016 - 07:48 AM)

I got bruticus limbs at FP last monday and Onslaught on Friday. Huge mistake, I inserted an X1000 microprocessor in each one and a extra for Bruticus, and they mopped the floor with the rest of my CW collection.

Really? Is TVTropes a encyclopedia site run by some institution or did it start out as something funny, silly and inane. I think it was the latter so to have something funny, silly and inane really doesn't go against the site, especially when it does go with show within a show... Which is a TV trope

So having a page for Inspector Spacetime on TvTropes does fit since it's a bit of fun poking at a TVTrope.

And look I didn't point to the TVTropes page to give you a valid and well thought out answer.. icon-hotrod.gif Toodles.

Well, the second thing in that list (which you misspelled) was made into an actual series, and All My Circuits is a page about characters watching Soap operas. Inspector Spacetime is the only page loaded with made-up stuff.

You do realize that everything there is Made Up Stuff. That's why it's called Fiction.... TVTropes is a wiki and ANYONE can edit a Wiki, and the people who run TVTropes saw the page and left it there because they knew it was Community fans having fun.. also of course it's going to be made up stuff, but it's all made up stuff about a show within a show, something fun for less stuck up readers of the page...

Ya know... Fanwank.

First Derpy now Inspector Spacetime, can you tight sphinctered people leave things be. icon-screamer.gif

Also All My Circuits is from Futurama and is the name of the Soap Opera Calculon stars on (as well as Bender for awhile)

^ It's a site for cataloging fiction, not writing your own fiction. And simply putting Doctor Who content and changing the names wasn't quite the entire point of the "actual" Inspector Spacetime. Community used it for a Star Wars reference too.

I agree it's a bogus argument to claim TV Tropes is for writing fan fiction. It can catalogue examples of fanfiction but once you start trying to write it on there it just becomes all sorts of muddled. In this case in particular, simply tweaking canon Doctor Who examples to build this up is lazy. It kind of reminds me of a past member at another forum I go to who used to steal other members genuinely funny jokes and run them into the ground until no one found them funny at all.

It's not okay to openly criticize something that sucks for sucking? Sorry but no one is saying TV Tropes needs to be shut down or we should petition to have that removed. That article is bull jive, and it's very inclusion speaks to a lack of quality of the web site as a whole. It's allowed, because the monkeys who run it are idiots and it speaks to the whole thing being a free for all. You're into that, I obviously get that, but your liking it doesn't invalidate a completely understandable criticism. The site is a joke.

There's something wrong with that sentence there. :it's a wiki" would imply that decisions are made by the userbase, not whoever runs it. Plus, it's not like Eddie actually wrote that page, he just let it be, despite how it doesn't help with anything.

Because telling people they aren't allowed to express distaste is a perfectly fine thing to do. And letting people have fandom fun all over has proven a bad idea with people trying to shoehorn references to their favorite shows everywhere, trope images that don't show what the trope is about, and so on.

They didn't come up with Inspector Spacetime to be 100% Doctor Who-derivative. There was something about an infamous Christmas special.

The Dr. Brinner stuff actually is a catalog. But of ideas that have been thrown around instead of an actual published work. Still, not made-up for the specific page.

Honestly, the site works when editors actually know what they're doing. But when they don't know for a particular page, you end up with articles that don't have a clue what they're about, and/or not sound like articles at all, with people "replying" to things. Yeah, that free for all thing is a major problem. But, I should add that the Inspector Spacetime page is only there because Fast Eddie thinks something is okay despite not actually helping with the site.

You're into that, I obviously get that, but your liking it doesn't invalidate a completely understandable criticism. The site is a joke.

They make one joke article and all of a sudden RUINED FOREVER RUINED FOREVER RUINED FOREVER.

You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world....

I'm reading that with Roy's voice. Heck, I read everything you post in a laconic Irish accent.
