As far as Spoilers go, it isn't bad. They don't give away anything major.

And Liege, you're words really have had an effect on me. It made me relise I've shouldn't care about what others think of me, I should only care about what I think of myself.

Liege is a small dude with a lot of wisdom.

Well one of those descriptive words is accurate I suppose!

LCC:

Yup. I am starting to think I might actually take the (for me, drastic) measure of actually seeing a movie in a theater for once; probably not on opening day, though.

This movie will drive me to an early grave.

I can't stand waiting to find out how it will do.

Test screening numbers that big help, but it's no guarantee.

Criminy, I'm nervous....

I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna click. And I really don't want to be spoiled...but I just have to know.

Wish me luck!

EDIT: Okay, if you want to get a sense of the guy's excitement read down a pagelength or two until he's talking about the kids chestbumping. After that, he starts describing the movie, and I stopped reading, because that's more than I really want to know. But you're safe for a little while reading it, and you'll know when to stop if you have enough self-control to actually do so.

*clears throat* "Happy happy joy joy! Happy happy joy joy!" *gets pelted with sharp and pointy objects*

Giddiness aside, very much psyched. Although considering the review is coming from AICN, I'll wait till some lucky bugger posts a more coherent review. Lucky saps...

It's curious he should mention Frenzy - as I noticed how poor Frenzy looked in the screens i'd seen too - I was hopping they'd re-render those shots with better lighting as he looked so poor.

Its very hard to make something unreal look good un bright light and not only is he in bright light he's silver as well - no wonder he's not good as it stands.. silver in bright light is super hard to get right in a composite image.

If they were searchin' the galaxy for the Allspark device they darn well better say in the sequel that they were doing it in the Ark.

It's bad enough that the audience will infer they have been flying about at warp speed like a cross between a rock and a Stargate Atlantic puddlejumper.

That is a darn sight sillier mental image than giving them a space ship is - regardless of what any (Transilliterate) writer might say - I don't buy in the slightest that Those pair have any more right to say they are "proper" Transformers fans than Steven Speilberg does.

I bet they have not touched a toy for 20 years, don't own the Cartoon series on VHS or DVD and probably have never even read a comic till they got the job... heck they probably did as little research as Bay did.

Call me sceptical but regardless of the good and bad points of the Prior Hulk Movie at least all the research wa actually done on the Hulk before anything was written down... and the Hulk Movie featured characters that for the most part existed in the comics and were not just made up on the fly.

Oh and I think the bit when Blackout is standing over Gi Joe / SG1 Wannabe boy he's stopped to scan for the base mainframe and he's not really looking at him so much as through him... (judging by pictures and the old script)

It's like that line tha GKar says about the ancient races no noticing the Humans and other races zipping about -as to them they are like Ants.

To Blackout SG1 wannabe boy is like an ant and he does not see him as he's not possible threat to him he's beneith his notice.

RE : all the cutesy Family stuff - I recall Bay having words with Steven about such matters so you can see his hand in such "ET" / "Back to the Future" like family moments.

If I was being unkind i'd mention the Cybertron's Kids parents - but since I don't think for a moment anyone involved in this project even knows they make cartoon these days I think that's unlikely.

So I suppose the question is this...

Is Micheal Bay with Speilberg Spinkles a winning receipt or a meal that is to hard to swallow ?

Soundlike Chilli Icecream to me though. to sweet and to spicy (I.e. Explosions) and not so nice a meal as you might like.

For all the pretty (in some people's view) presentation.

I don't know actually why I'm writing about this since I have no plans to go watch it...

After getting his excitement across he starts to breakdown the movie, and that's exactly where I stopped reading, don't want it ruined!

There are certainly a lot of self-styled botanists at AICN, aren't there?
