  1. Lego and other brick toys

The incremental cost of designing the Cal minifig is irrelevant, yes. But Lego has a hard limit on how many sets they can manufacture at a time and an inflexible limit on how many they can market at a time. They have a lot of bases to cover and maybe some restrictions on the Star Wars license...
  2. Traitor Watch - The 45 Thread

I can easily imagine that the secret service has a facility of their own that they could use, but I don't know that they do.
  3. Traitor Watch - The 45 Thread

Stormy Daniels' testimony surprised me. When I heard years ago that he'd paid to cover up an affair with a pornstar, they called it an affair and my concept was pretty much that. Biases of mine will show here, but Donald Trump and a pornstar read very easily to me as people with no...
  4. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

I mean, sure. But since Star Wars is not talking about the Arrakis drug when they say spice.... Spice is mentioned in the open title of Powerpuff Girls. It is mentioned in "Spice World". It is reasonable to think Lucas had read Dune when he wrote the throwaway line that C-3PO says in Episode...
  5. Lego and other brick toys

I don't think that is really fair or looking at honest economics of running a toy company. They have polybags and $10 sets to make sure they aren't overlooking customers on the lower budget, but they're never going to accommodate "customers on the lower budget who want to get every character"...
  6. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Spice gets mentioned on a lot of shows.
  7. Lego and other brick toys

Is the issue that you have to buy a $160 set when you just want Cal? You will get him cheaper on Bricklink, but maybe not too cheap. In this wave, they made several minifigs of characters that people would like, but they didn't have a set for and just stuck them as bonuses. You can view it...
  8. Star Trek: Discovery

I am pretty sure he has said so lately.
  9. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

For me it was weird that the whole sand people thing seemed to be teaching him to be a better man, right? And he came out and said, "I've had an apostrophe. I'm a better man now. I will become a gangster." I kinda would have had him be something that looks like a better man. Like, take down...
  10. Star Trek: Discovery

Yeah and that is another thing. You really can't have a first year ensign as your frontrunner for First Officer just because you think she'd do alright at it.
  11. Ghostbusters General

I read on a Reddit that one of the clippings he had about his daughter was dated 1983, so canonically he already had a wife or ex-wife and a daughter before Ghostbusters. It SEEMED like they were all bachelors. Venkman surely was. But I cannot remember that it ever really said so.
  12. Star Trek: Discovery

Well I don't ever seen anyone downstairs giving orders to Commander Stamets and he seems to be in charge of any science going on. Culber IS the CMO.

  14. Ghostbusters General

Trevor is 18, so he was born in about 2006. That's 15 years after Ghostbuster 2. When was his mom born? Edit - Her actress was born in 1981 and actually....it might make more sense that way. That Egon was already estranged from his family when we met him.
  15. Ghostbusters General

When it first came out, I saw somewhere that the stinger sets up a sequel. I don't think it does. I think it is just a callback. Certainly it is something they could springboard. My preference would be that anything to do with StayPuft continues to be a callback and doesn't become a future...
  16. Star Trek: Discovery

Linus works on the bridge. Forgetting him is being obedient to the wishes of the producers.
  17. Ghostbusters General

I just got back. I had fun. I liked it. I'm not going to do spoilers for now. This is safe to read. The best part about it is that it was just episodic. It didn't feel like it needed to put a bookend on anything and it didn't feel like it needed to draw too much from what came before. It...
  18. Star Trek: Discovery

To complicate things, there's this: "Nilsson Lt. Nilsson (portrayed by Sara Mitich) is an operations officer on the bridge of the Discovery. Mitich portrayed Airiam in season one of the show, before that role was taken over by Hannah Cheesman for season two, while Mitich began recurring as...
  19. Star Trek: Discovery

Stick with me just a second while I am pedantic. It looks like a nice day and there will be wind and my daughter has been wanting to fly a kite she won at a party. I played "The Kite" from "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" on Alexa and the recording they chose was Anthony Rapp. His character...
