...geez, it feels like it's been ages since I was last here. Well, at least I didn't return totally empty-handed...

And the undisputed winner of the "Best Thing Done With a ROTF Skids Figure" is now me, thanks to a little help from a jivey KO version of the same figure I found at a flea market...a jivey KO with a GREEN CLASSICS BUMBLEBEE HEAD. I held onto it for a long while until I finally managed to grab an original Skids off of eBay for a few bucks. One head-swap and a couple of Reprolabel stickers later, and ROTF Skids is now Neo-G1 Tap-Out, former Autobot wrestler and bodyguard to fellow obscure BotCon exclusive 'bee redeco Glyph.

This mold works pretty friggin' good for him, IMHO...I mean, that over-sized right arm is MADE for wicked lariats and elbow drops. I didn't bother shooting his vehicle mode because I didn't DO anything to it, so if you wanna see it, just look up ROTF Skids' figure.

...heh. The shot on the right is my favorite. "Just bring it, jabroni..."

Here he is next to my Classics Cliffjumper for comparison:

...y'know, Cliff, when the former pro wrestler turned professional bodyguard thinks you're a little uptight, you may wanna listen.

EDIT: Switched to JPGs...for some reason, the GIFs were really speckling badly on Tap-Out, which is like a reversal of how things normally are with the formats.
Destron D-69
Looks good, and he's obviously GREEN, so you wont have to explain 'multiversal continuity' every time

lol

Yeah, after seeing your thread, I can guess what you mean...he's might be a little TOO green even, considering the original toy was more aqua and his comic appearances made him forest green, but whatever. Actually, your thread gave me an idea for his boss/charge/ladyfriend, Glyph, if I can find an appropriate body...maybe Jolt?

IIRC, it wasn't her body type but her mannerisms that read as female, so technically Glyph could be pretty much anyone blue.

Heck, wasn't she even painfully toy-accurate in her original comics appearance?
Detour
I'll agree on the comments regarding the Skids body being too green.

Maybe Tuner Skids from the HFTD line would work better? The greens are deeper on that one.

I know...heck, my last attempt at her was with a TFA Activators Bumblebee, and I've been using ROTF Beachcomber for her in the interim. I'd just like to see if I can find a figure with slightly more feminine proportions for her. Nothing as blatant as TFA Arcee or Cybertron Thunderblast, of course, but something with a wider hip stance than the normally narrow-hipped bots, preferably within spitting distance of being in-scale with Tap here. It's just an aesthetics thing, nothing set in stone.
