What do you have to do if you're interested? Just post in this thread telling us what you thought of the Avengers movie. That's it! Something you would do anyway!

We'll run this contest for a week (so it'll end next Tuesday, May 15th) and then one winner will be selected randomly!

*Edit*
Disney Publishing has requested that the contest be limited to US-residents.

Nearly the perfect superhero movie. While it tweaked a lot of conventions (especially those Whedon loves to tweak, like the grand soliloquy), it largely stayed true to the core ideas and ideals of the best superhero stories. While I'm not keen on Whedon indulging one of his other stylistic quirks (involving impalement), context suggests plenty of ways it could have been deliberate in-story misdirection.

Great film.

Perhaps best superhero film ever. Certainly at the top of the list. What was most amazing for me was how it "got" all the characters, and "got" how the Avengers should work. It WAS an Avengers movie, not just a movie with those characters. I've missed this sort of thing in the comics since Kurt Busiek's left the book so it was really nice to see it captured just perfectly on film.

It truely is an achievement and I hope they chain Joss Whedon down and make him do the sequel. icon-arcee.gif

-ZacWilliam, my son is just a little too young to take to see it sadly, but I would love to introduce him to it all with the magazine. icon-hotrod.gif

Best superhero movie so far. I felt like a kid playing with his toys while watching it...and I loved every minute of it. My only "complain" is that Hawkeye was too much like his Ultimate version than his regular universe self, but that's a quirk I can actually dismiss and get pass. Although "The Other Guy" didn't have many lines, the Hulk truly stole the show for me. "Puny god" icon-hotrod.gif

Even my wife loved the movie, she actually suggested we go watch it again. icon-hotrod.gif

Got my first issue today, it was #2 (Spider-Man vs. Lizard focus). Getting enough stuff just this week to merit making another review column post, just waiting on a Beanworld TPB that shipped Monday to show up and then I can post it.
