Liked the first one, so I'm geting that. Nintendo is so making up for crud like the Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation.

Nintendo had nothing to do with the cancellation of MML3.

But a new New Super Mario is very much appreciated anyways. It's pretty awesome after just getting Mario Land 3D. People at Nintendo seem to love SMB 3 lately though. That Raccoon tail just keeps popping up. Wonder if they will try and work in the multiplayer aspect from NSMB Wii

That would require friends who have the game and a 3DS system, seeing this will be a handheld game.

Good thing the 3DS has Wi-Fi and a microphone then.

Also, nothing short of MML3 will ever make up for the cancellation of MML3.

I was really hoping that when Nintendo made a New Super Mario Bros. 2, it would be in Subcon with Wart and Shy Guys and such. This is more like a New Super Mario Bros. 3.

While I enjoyed the DS NSMB enough, in that I remember enjoying it but quickly forgot about it, I did not enjoy the Wii game. While I am happy to see the Tanooki again, that screenshot looks really bad. Mario and the Goomba look really crappy. I'll need to see some video to get a better idea.

The odds of a new Doki Doki Panic are exceedingly slim; it's Mario USA or bust.

Something has occurred to me, why is it coming to 3DS and not DS? what can they do on 3DS that they can't on DS?
While it might be Nintendo wanting to shift more 3DS handhelds it might be they need the extra power for online multiplayer.

They want you to buy their new handheld.

Can't this be said about every 3DS game? Can't this be said about every Wii game that could be a Gamecube game? These are the problems that exist when your system is a minuscule improvement over the last generation.

Tigerhawk, have you actually played a 3DS? Ignore Adam.. It's not a minuscule improvement..... Unless you count something like the PS3 a minuscule improvement over the PS2.

Yes and that's why I raised that point there has to be a good reason it's on 3DS. I think Nintendo are making the ultimate New Super Mario Bros game (3DS can do both motion and stylus controls) and picked what seems to be their most powerful current system out there.

I assumed it was just because it's the current system.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it was the ultimate New Super Mario Bros game anyway, just as a function of knowing what worked or didn't work the two previous times.

Man I love Mario 2. It's likemy third favorite game of all time.
