That was a fairly fun episode, and the second time they've fought against something with some menace behind it.

I personally would have called in the navy for a rogue submarine, but if you've got some TF's willing to do the job and punch a sub to death, then I guess you could go with that too. Felt like a jaws kind of thing anyways, with the police cheif squaring off against the evil shark.

Blades and his pirate talk was the best part. And Heatwave not understanding fishing until he gets to wrestle a giant robot shark.

Was the name of the Burns' boat, the Darby Eva, a reference to something?

Have I mentioned lately how much I'm enjoying Rescue Bots and it's basically my favorite Transformers TV show currently running?

'Cause it is. So very, very, much.

There were at least 4 JAWS references here.

1. The mayor saying they are "going to need a bigger boat."
2. The camera move in/zoom on the mayor on the beach exactly like the Chief Brody scene from JAWS.
3. Having the Darby boat look exactly like the Orca.
4. The captain of that other ship was Shaw, Quint's actor's name.

Love the nods! I really like this show as an adult, but if I was a kid, I would LOVE it, as my son does (he's almost 4). It's got dinos, sharks, volcanos, crazy snowstorms, sinkholes...so many cool things for little kids. So very entertaining!

Anyone else think Dani was going to try and crash the Miss Griffin Rock bit?

"Dad! There's been a shark sighting near the beach!"

"Go tell Dani to get over there with Blades and observe until the rest of us can arrive!"

"Actually, dad,... she's already over there."

"What?!"

Saving the town would certainly have netted Dani the crown. And it would've been properly humiliating to get caught too, for a tomboy like Dani.

Though not as humiliating as Chief Burns' apron.

And she'd have probably needed all those extra points from saving the city, too; given the way she's been portrayed, I do not see her faring all that well in the "speed calculus" round.
