Like the IDW GI Joe reinvention and even recent Transformers stuff...I question this on the basis of...what impact will this ultimately have on the brand. Kids don't read comics anymore, so you are basically aiming for an adult demographics to sell a line of toys..they likely already know about. And Mattel's comments just a few months ago pointed to a conflicted view on how to handle the brand.

Unless some dips at Mattel finally realized "oh hey, we can make MONEY by letting these guys produce a comic on a property we are barely doing anything at all with"
