More Microns? Including a gecko and snake? As capsule toys?

Gunrage
Weeeird.

Is that first one Optimus?
NightViper
Looks like the first two are Prime and Bumblebee.

I don't know what Takara is doing, or why, but I love it so much.

Nice. Well, I'm not sure about the chameleon/axe thing, and Bumblebee's double sword looks silly in sword mode, but otherwise they're pretty cool.

MINICONS!!! WOOOO Awesome year for me!
Dave Zero1
I want that Chainsaw so I can put it down and listen to you
Powered Convoy
Interesting and neat. icon-ironhide.gif

Creedence
Names: Optimus Prime Blaster, Bumblebee Sword, Zad (lizard), and Cob (cobra).

Edit: Or it's Sad and Gob. The text isn't clear enough to tell.

Say hello to Modus Prime, Sparkplug, Geckobot, and Corahda!
Cabooceratops
So, how good are capsule toys in general? Is this going to look more like a Kabaya gum kit than a minicon? Has this been done before with TFs?

Not that it'll stop me getting them(That could be price and difficulty.), but I'm a bit curious.
NightViper
It depends on how much they charge for them.

It's not like the 25-50 cent machines here. You can have $5-10 machines in Japan.

Oh, interesting, thanks!

These are neat little things, though. So if they only come in one color I think I'd be fine.
Donocropolis
Man, I'm not planning on getting into Prime, but I do love me all of these targetmaster minicons. I really hope to see them released on their own Stateside.
Gryllid
I wonder how much they'd have to charge for blind-packed Minicons in the U.S.

I keep seeing stuff like the Lego and Mega Bloks figures sold that way and I think it'd be kinda cool to have Transformers in that niche too.

Well, Hasbro has dipped their toes in that market with the Blindbag Miniponies, so it's possible unless Hasbro has already stated otherwise.
Spark
Oh, these are cool. And, strangely, very 3rd partyish. Huh.

In parts and paint app terms these can't be far off the cost of the Mega Bloks Halo spartans, so they certainly feel like they'd be doable at that price.

The Cobra looks like it might transform into Knock Out's Cattle Prod.

Randy
Goblez
Man did Amrada do very well in Japan or something? its like they never stopped with the minicons

not like I'm complaining icon-fire.gif
Mrduce1018
Can't wait to get these guys. Anyone know who might be getting these for us US fans? Hydra comes to mind, anyone else?
lastmaximal
This is a welcome development. Wonder what the US release format will be.
NICKSAUR
Minicons do exist in this universe. That snake and gecko are bad ass.
Hydra
Apparently the whole Micron thing for Prime is Japan-only, so I doubt if these will be seen in the US, either.

Powered Convoy
Wow, that's really surprising.

Sucks to live in America and be a Minicon collector (or heck even a Transformers Prime collector). icon-fire.gif

Probably none.

Pony of Merak
A part of me ( something like 5% of my brainpower) tends to think of this weird paranoid Theory that exclusives like these are a form of revenge because we had easy access to some cybertron molds that were not that easily available in Japan. Namely Menasor and Quickmix. And some people were so pissed off by that that they decided to work for Takara, so they could develop stuff that would be impossible for fans and collectors from the rest of the world to acquire, and now their evil schemes are coming to fruition.
Mecheon
Pff, Quickmix and Menasor would have been easy for someone in Japan to get the US versions of, just Ebay it icon-waspy.gif

Interesting that there a few Microns being made for this, though. These ones and those other ones that turn into the weapons and all. Given they're all new molds I wonder if Hasbro has any plan at all, even if they are originally capsule toys. They did sell the previously blind-packed Micromaster Combiners, after all
Pony of Merak
I'm not saying it was a sound theory, it's some paranoid thought of my idle mind. just that.

And the gecko looks like the buzzsaw he used when he wanted to 'take a sample' of Ratchet in that drug abuse episode.

Man, these look awesome. I do hope they are not Takara Exclusive, but I'll get them even if they are.

We sold those as an e-HOBBY USA exclusive, so they were easy enough. icon-ironhide.gif

Not as stoked on these as I am for the others, but in general I want ALL these weapon Minicons. I hope they come out in the States.

nvm...they charge you when you place the order. Crosses fingers in hopes they dont sell out
corgsopal
Aw crap. Murderbee totally needs a double sided chainsaw axe snake.
Sean Whitmore
Okay, so that's FE Optimus holding his Micron in the picture, but which Bumblebee is that? Or does it even matter? I don't know what either Bee's fists/forearms/whatever look like.
Solarstorm
Just as a heads up, Captured Prey has preorders for the individual microns/minicons/targetmasters.

I preordered one of each at $4 each. $21 total - shipping included.

Might grab a few of the Prime Blasters... they'll make nice additional weaponry for other figures.

Er... do we know what kind of pegging they use? It's the near-universal 5mm pegs, right?

Completely missed that.

Are these the final samples, or the grey color is just prototype color? And is the plastic quality good?

No, no. We don't know.

All indications by the pictures is that they will be all silver.

Randy
BB Shockwave
Hmm, well, silver is fine. Maybe I'll paint the eyes and some details then. 4$ is a good price.
