Anyone else get super hyped by this? (Taken from the Licensing International Expo)
Rust
I thought Ant Man and Wasp were going to be in the Avengers?

Not that I'm complaining. Black Widow and Hawkeye are fine by me.

No, putting Ant-Man into the Avengers would apparently clash with what they have planned for the upcoming Ant-Man movie, so he's not in this one. Wasp is too tied to Ant-Man to show up without him I'm guessing.
Fangwing
That's our first look at Hawkeye's costume AND at Cap's modern costume. No mask on Clint. Hrm.

Cap's Modern Costume is pretty awesome.

Looks like bigger wings too. icon-silverbolt.gif

I'm diggin' the comic cover look of it (and nonsense of it considering all these unarmored guys couldn't be far off the ground yet Iron Man is apparently plummeting towards it).

However I really wish they would STOP adding gray chunks to Ironman's costume.

I agree, the random grey parts are really distracting. Grey is for War Machine, red and gold is for IronMan!

Clint having no mask seems weird, other then that this line up makes sense. The orginal four, plus Hawkeye who is pretty much a staple of any Avenger line up, and Black Window another pretty popular character, and likely someone to add further conflict with the team if they build her up like a double agent.
Confuzor
Hmm, I could have sworn Fury was going to have at least one other guy on the team we hadn't been introduced via a full movie. Tho I may just be thinking of Hawkeye and am being thrown off by his cameo in Thor.

Wasn't Warmachine supposed to be a member?

There was rumors of it awhile back, long before anything concrete had been nailed down, but it appears that he won't be in it.

It's Tony. I wouldn't put it past him.

Ant-man and Wasp aren't going to be in the new movie at all? Argh!
Bigbot
Hawkeye strikes me as his ultimate version, who is a more itneresting character to me anyway, so I'm cool with that.
Zek
Hooray!

I mean, I can understand how people would be upset about there not being Ant-Man and Wasp, but at this point, who the hell are they?

...the same could be said for Hawkeye I guess....

Let Edgar Wright do what he wants with them. We'll all be better off.

Looks neat! I can't wait to see more!

I think it's a very nice poster, but I'm a bit disturbed that Hawkeye looks like he's aiming for the back of Cap's head.

Why is Iron Man using the older model round arc generator?

That stuck out to me too, this looks like the Mark IV with the collarbones painted silver. I'm guessing (and hoping) that this isn't the final movie armor.

I also hope that Thor wears his helmet more in this movie. He doesn't look complete without it.

Agreed: let's just hope it's not another Scott Pilgrim in ticket sales.

And I hope for the opposite: Some things just don't work quite as well in live-action. And there's a reason Thor hasn't worn his helmet for a good chunk of his run in comics.

The footage then shows a bunch of action sequences, including a fighter jet flying over a city, an explosive truck chase, and - most intriguingly - a shot of Captain America and Thor apparently fighting each other, with Thor about to bring the hammer down on Cap's shield. All the while, we hear Nick Fury explain the mission statement of the Avengers: "There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, to see if they could become more. To fight the battles we never could."

But the most epic exchange comes at the end, as Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) is behind a bar counter, mixing himself a drink. He describes his teammates: "Let's do a head count. We've got a couple master assassins, a demigod, and a living legend who kinda lives up to the legend" - that'd be Black Widow and Hawkeye, Thor, and Captain America. It's then that we learn Stark is talking to Loki: "And you, big fella, have managed to piss off every single one of them."

To this, Loki responds, "I have an army." Stark's eminently quotable and awesome response? "We have a Hulk." We then see the Hulk roar, and the footage ends. While it's still early days - indeed, filming is still two weeks from completion - this is looking very, very good so far.
