Got two side quests I cannot figure out or finish, the first is on the citadel, I have some type of Id that is suppose to be useful to someone, the second is on Omega, suppose to deliver two packages but can't because I convinced the dude to leave before I gave him the packages. My next mission is the reaper iff mish, I have completed everyones loyalty mishs.
RYNO, I had to ask a friend about the ID quest. On the Citadel, Once you go through C-Sec, past Sgt Haron and Captain Bailey, turn LEFT. There are some asari sitting on the couches through the archway.
You can give them the Fake ID, or you can help them get out of there legitimately, or you can just tell them off for being snotty aliens.
Don't think I can help you with Ish, if you convinced him to leave it makes sense he's not there to get the packages.

Yeah it sucks that I convinced him to leave but the side quest is still active, oh well.

i may be thinking of another mission but if your talking abotu that salarian on Omega if you talk to whatsherface that owns the bar she takes the mission off your hands....i think.
That was way back on my first Paragon play through so i cant really remember. You may also have to go to the second package pickup to clear it.

I picked up both packages on the citadel and ileum, then when talking to the salarian on omega before I could give him the packages I convinced him to leave. Now the mish still shows as active, I talked to Aria but she has nothing to do with me now other than old info. So yeah kinda confused.

Appears I found the answer on the Mass Effect 2 Wiki.
BUG: There is a known bug where turning in the mission to Ish and using the Paragon or Renegade options (the Renegade option will only appear if Jacob is with you) will leave the mission open in the Journal. The only way to bypass this is to turn the mission to Anto or not use the Paragon or Renegade options with Ish. The bug seems to be the result of the Paragon and Renegade points for the likewise action with Ish not resolving, thus leaving the assignment open.
Which is exactly what I did, I used the Paragon response to scare him away. So by doing that I'm stuck with this mish being open forever.... Nice...

Random thought: What is a Mass Relay but a really, really, really big gun? Especially the Citadel super-relay that was so important in ME1?
Plot point for ME3?

So I'm late to the game and I will say two things. I <3 grunt to death, and why does anyone like garrus, I mean he's fun to use in combat but he's completely insufferable otherwise.
EDIT: also unlike dragon age I don't want to scream at my party at any point during the game, maybe at shepard's cheesy ass dialogue.

a mass relay is basically a giant slingshot that gets you from point a to b in as little time as possible. kinda like one person riding a bike to one place, but someone taking a plane to the same place; the plane will get there first and faster
or if thats confusing, heres this from the mass effect wiki:
QUOTE
Mass relays are mass transit devices scattered throughout the galaxy, usually located within star systems. They form an enormous network allowing interstellar travel. Hailed as one of the greatest achievements of the extinct Protheans, a mass relay can transport starships instantaneously to another relay within the network, allowing journeys that would take years or even decades with only FTL drives. A Prothean data cache found on Mars led humans to the Charon Relay, a mass relay encased in ice and orbiting Pluto, previously thought to be a moon.
dont know yet. presumably a HUGE final battle against hundreds (thousands?) of reapers according to the end of me2
and now, a funny pic:

Yes, I know how they are used. But think about it. They send an object from one point to another REALLY REALLY fast. The cutscenes show them firing the ship. The second relay decelerates it. But what if you skip that step...?

Finally got around to beating the game this weekend.
First time through I lost Mordin, and only hit level 29. So needless to say I was impressed and yet disspointed.
On the next replay I kept everyone alive, and hit level 30!.
Now onto Final Fantasy XIII.

Even though my Shepard is mostly Renegade, Tali still got a hug.
I was excited when I got that 12 shot sniper rifle, then I shot a guy in the face with it.
Then I shot him in the face again.
And again.
And again.
Then he died on the fifth shot and I never used that rifle again.
Mordin's personal quest was pretty cool too. A little weird though, with all the Renegade dialogue stuff you get, there were hardly any pro-Genophage lines.
I missed out on Thane's loyalty because that quest was a bastard. Who the hell puts eighty friggin' doors in the rafters?!
Esser-Z
May 17 2010, 11:37 AM
That rifle has nothing on the Widow. The Widow is amazing. Upgrade, it kills a *gunship* in two hits. Though, the Revenant machine gun is amazing, too. It pretty much does the same 'end the fight in a few seconds' that the heavies are claimed to do, in the right circumstances. And can kill a fully-armored Krogan with less than half a clip.
Also, Thane's quest really is pretty easy. I only had trouble with it when I minimized at a bad time and thus failed.

No PC patch yet. D:
These Mass Effect games are too friggin' short. The deeper side quests are neat and all, but you can add those in with DLC or something. Make the main plot have more stuff in it! I explored at least 80% of the worlds for anomalies and bought every upgrade and my finish time was just over thirty hours. I hope the third one has more to it than just buying junk so we don't all fail and die on the main game.
Ending spoilers:
HIGHLIGHT to view: Thane died closing a door after we made it through the ventilation shafts. That was stupid. Grunt died leading the second team after that. Not sure why...
Crew and everybody else were saved, though the squad info says Miranda is dead, despite not even being used during the whole last part. Was that because I blew up the Collector base?
That part having to stay in the bubble was terrible. My graphics card is halfway between required and recommended specs, so my fps dropped down to 5 during that whole segment. I missed half my snipes.
Then of course during the final boss fight, I run out of Arc ammo, then when it had a sliver of life left, I missed my last sniper bullet, so I had to plink it to death with my pistol. So anti-climatic. >.<
Is it my imagination or have EDI and Joker been "fraternizing" after he plugged her in? And what's with that guy in engineering? And Yeoman Kelly! She wants to fornicate with everyone!
Speaking of which, none of my squad will do me.

Just about to complete my 3rd playthrough, this time as a near-total Renegade. I was finally able to keep Miranda and Jack's loyalty after their little fight. Assuming I can still do the same for Tali and Legion, this may be the first time when everyone will survive the final battle.
Had an odd issue turn up, though. For some reason, when I resume a game, it starts me up not at my last save, but back several saves. I can load up the correct game save and continue, but it's annoying. I eventually just went in and deleted all of my previous game saves and now just continually overwrite the one game save.

Release Info:
QUOTE
Overlord is a DLC pack for Mass Effect 2 that will be available for the Xbox 360 at a cost of 560 Microsoft points and on PC for 560 BioWare points. The pack includes five new missions that take place across several planets where an Artificial Intelligence has gone rogue. The M-44 Hammerhead vehicle will be usable on the planet. Overlord will be released on June 15, 2010 and will offer "two-and-a-half hours" of extra gameplay.
Description:
The VI Overlord
When sent to investigate a Cerberus research base that's mysteriously gone silent, Shepard arrives to find geth overrunning the base. The sole survivor, Chief Scientist Archer, paints a dire picture: an experiment to fuse a human volunteer with a virtual intelligence created a dangerous hybrid "VI overlord". The rampaging VI has already attacked three other Cerberus bases, controlling any technology it finds in an attempt to break free–and unleashing geth across the planet. Unless Shepard can infiltrate the VI's fortress and shut it down, this homicidal intelligence will beam itself-off planet and wreak havoc on other systems. The action unfolds over five new level areas, with two new achievements.
Gameplay:
A rogue Cerberus scientist is experimenting with geth technology. When the scientist creates a VI that threatens the galaxy, Shepard is called to clean up the mess.
To get to the VI, Shepard must traverse over all the worlds, several of them water surface worlds, and enter a water-logged geth ship to find the key to the VI's location and find a way to unlock Prometheus Station, a Cerberus base locked down under the VI’s control. Enemies will primarily consist of geth, including troopers, hunters and primes, along with infected versions of mechs.
When the VI is faced with its own demise, it takes command of Shepard’s vision, overlaying the environment with virtual reality grids and computerized projections of its memories. This new visual effect looks to add something new and different to the main game.
While no gear or weapons are available to unlock in this pack, it’s another mission to take Commander Shepard and his crew to set the paragon path, or take his own renegade agenda.
Overlord emphasizes exploration and platforming with the inclusion of the Hammerhead tank in a few of its missions. Executive Producer Casey Hudson calls it, “a throwback to how some of the exploration worked in [the first] Mass Effect.”
There are two more slots, listed as "Classified". So apparently we are going to be getting two more crew members in the future.

Database - Two characters? One of them is Legion, but the other one...hmmm. I look forward to another new character
General review and preview for Overlord: Ok, finally got the file downloaded last night and started playing through it.
So far my impression is that this is a nice little add on, giving you a chance to see one more planet which is really a nice place: jungle, waterfalls, volcanos I rather enjoyed the cut scene when you finished the first mission. Made me feel like Han Solo on Endor
The main detractor is the "scream" noise of the computer VI over the station speakers, but I found I could ignore it
I'll add to this and write something more indepth as I finish it

If we do get anymore characters, it won't have anything to do with that list. The two classified are the squadmates they wanted to keep a surprise: HIGHLIGHT to view: Legion and HIGHLIGHT to view: Garrus.

Thanks for pointing that out Shadowsabre, I don't know how I missed that.
On to the review:
Overall this is fun DLC, though compared to Kasumi where the story and gameplay were very creative, the gameplay is more of the same on this one. The story is very indepth, and suprising little twist at the end that I won't ruin for anyone.
The first level is pretty basic, fight through the Geth, try to lower the dish. When that fails take the tram over and blow up the support structure, then run away and watch the pretty explosion.
Next round is the driving and platforming section. Look for places to gather minerals and ore, and the data packets. The air vents are usable for getting to higher areas, and watch out when hoping on the debris in the lava flow, they sink. Inside the Outpost, look for the flamable containers. One well placed shot can take out all the enemies standing next to them. This area is a little tricky to navigate, but you'll get through it I am sure.
The next area is easy, then you get to the Outpost, which is a converted Geth ship that crashed. Work through to the end, and if you "have a bad feeling about this" as the VI herds you to the last room and its sliding floor puzzle, you are not alone. The puzzle is a confusing at first: the bottom left button lets you switch between the panels, then the ones at the cardinal positions control movement. Be ready to fight your way out as all the Geth are reactivated.
The final Outpost, Atlas, is behind the waterfall. The first puzzle is the elevator, there is another control panel for it the lab that lets you change which set of floors it goes to, and there is a reset switch if you make a mistake. Continue through, be sure to hack the Geth laying on the lab table for a new prototype. The final boss you will have to do on your own. Basicly watch for the green "packet" of data to flow through the wire to the uplink. Shoot the packet to stop him from uploading to the Normandy, then blast the boss while his shield is down. Rinse and repeat, watch out for the VI to summon Geth to his aid. I just ran up and meleed them to death, it was easier than trying to shoot them.
Finish the last dialouge for the achievement "Digital Exorsist" The other new achievemen is "Datahound" which you get by collecting the 6 data packets found scattered on the surface of the planet

Just picked up (or rather, downloaded) The Kasumi, Firewalker, and Arc Projector DLC. I'm a little late, but Live hasn't been working for me lately (and my e-74 Error...fixed finally). Gotta say, I absolutely LOVE Kasumi's loyalty mission. Definitely worth the 560 pts I paid for it. Such an interesting gameplay twist!
Firewalker is a bit "meh"...It doesn't have the same feeling of "can I make it up *this* mountain?" as the Mako did. I like the controls, but I would have loved to use it in place of the Mako in ME1.
Arc Projector..I wasn't too sure about it, but I really have begun to like using this weapon, especially against huge groups of people.
I just started a female Shepard Infiltrator on Insanity last night...I'm going for all of the achievements on this one (45 of 52 so far)..plus I'm gonna give the Renegade side of the story a go..any tips for Insanity?

I finished ME2 with all achievements and the insanity was the hardest. I used my level 30 character with all weapons and armor upgraded. If your starting with a new character and no upgrades, your going to have a very hard time. The enemies have extra armor and need more ammo and powers to kill. Without being fully upgraded, you might find yourself out of ammo in a bad situation.
I already had the loyalty and all survived achievements, so I just wanted to go through as fast as possible. Did only 3 loyalty missions so my teams didn't die at the end. Skipped all side missions and just went to the end. Duck and cover, and used alot of powers. Grunt and Garrus were my partners for most of the missions.
