By courtesy of anonymous poster at 2chan.net toy board, here's Buster Optimus Prime product images and some small review. it says:
Only front grill and roof cover are plated. most of other silvers are painted.
Color of blue parts are darker than normal ROTF OP.
No sound & voice are changed. eyes glow too.
Instruction has photo for easier operation.
New weapon - Ion Blaster - can hold, but don't fit well, to the left hand.
Energy Sword is yellowish orange with silver paint. looks gorgeous.
Last(7th) image is a small custom, BOP with normal OP head.
BOP's official street date is tomorrow(Nov. 21) in Japan. don't miss out!

I really wish I could afford this, but as it is I can't even buy Hasbro's version right now until sometime next month.
But anyway, this guy looks absolutely gorgeous, makes me wonder what they'll do with Leader Starscream now.

Amazing, simply amazing. Even if Hasbro releases the remold, there's no way it will have the paint detailing Takara is doing due to consumer cost. At a MSRP of $45 for a leader figure, it won't be this detailed. Can't wait until mine arrives. With the Amazon Japan black version next month, we will have an amazing lineup of Prime figures to choose from for the second movie.

i so cannot wait for this.
too bad i'll probably have to wait until christmas to get it.
my mom usually picks up my preorders that ship before or around christmas.
which is nice, getting this for free. i got the first one for free, and now this one.. so i can't complain about waiting an extra month.. maybe i'll go to her house and ask for it early when it arrives there.
anyways. this looks amazing. and i agree, if hasbro EVER brings this over there will be FAR less detailing.
i can't wait to get this and paint the smaller details that aren't on this version. it'll practically be perfect.
also.. instead of hasbro bringing this over.. i'd like to see them do some type of forest battle repaint/slight remold. add a lot of dirt, some grass, maybe bend the visors, add some painted cracking in his windshields. but i bet if we get anything like that, it'll be for the voyager mold. but here's hoping.

It seems like it'll be worth it.

No, the normal Japanese Leader Prime had Peter Cullen's voice just like the American one (it didn't feature the shortened European phrase either) as far as I know.

It's just so beautiful.
I promised myself that I'd dial back on buying every Optimus that comes out, since I don't have nearly room enough to properly display everything up until now, but I don't know if I can resist this.

This is really a wonderful looking toy, however, the notoriously hard transformation pretty much means in the long run, he's not worth the price.

They better put this remold out here in the US. Preferably in some new color scheme.

Seems enormously likely that Hasbro will simply release this mold as a premium version, just like last time.
If I thought there were any chance that the inevitable Hasbro version would have the chrome and absurdly-generous paint apps, I'd wait. However, I'm pretty confident it won't.

I already got the original and can't really justify buying even a cheaper, stripped Hasbro version of this slight remold/redeco of the same toy. However, it does make me a little more likely to repaint my own. I'll have to bust out the paints for Leader Starscream's head, so ....

I'm guessing Takara manufactured a bit more of these than they did Battle Mode Optimus Prime, since pre-orders don't appear to have sold out at many places, and Amazon has even lowered the price (I'm guessing in response to some other retailer lowering the price).
It could still sell out quickly, though.

good choice. there is no chance that hasbro will release this exact same figure (minus the chrome) in the US.
i remember reading that hasbro was VERY clear when they said that there weren't going to be any premium figures released in the rotf line..
for me the gun is just a bonus, it's the paint job that i'm willing to shell out almost $100 for.. well.. my mom is since i have added it to my christmas list (yes, i'm 22 years old and my mom still makes me give her a christmas list) so she is going to be picking up my bbts preorder, hopefully i can persuade her to give it to me early.
anyways, i REALLY REALLY hope that if hasbro decides to give us a repaint/remold of this figure, they release a forest battle optimus prime. maybe with some bent visors, dirt/grass colored paint, a head without a face plate, & some painted cracks in the windshield.

Now way I could afford one here on out however I did cancel a couple of items in my pile of loot so I picked up a preorder with my store credit. Just looks to good to miss.
Now one thing I want to be clear on is the gun. I'm assuming there's only one of them since that all I have ever seen in images, yet people assume there's two sometimes. Is there a definitive answer one way or the other? Not that it will change my mind, just be nice to know.

There is only one gun, it is formed from transforming/combining both tanks.

He is quite lovely, and I intend to buy one as soon as I get my Christmas shopping done. Poor timing, there.
I'm not overly fond of the chrome, but I can live with it. I generally think that silvery paint looks better on toys than chrome. I'm not entirely sure why.

i completely agree.
with a figure like this, the chrome should be on the pieces that are chromed in real life.
they're not, but it's close enough for me to not be bothered by it.
i also think it's be kind of cool if they had given him rubber tires..
but hey, for the beautiful, detailed, more movie accurate paint job, the head remold, and the transformable gun, i think this figure is we worth it.
*edit* and you know what, i hadn't even noticed how many flame differences there were, i knew there were a couple, but not as many as i've seen.
+ i preorded it when it first went up on bbts so I'm (well, my mom) paying $5 less, and i just realized that i had a $43 credit for bbts. soo.. about $50 for this figure.. i can't complain, i'll be able to ask for a few more presents.
the only thing that REALLY sucks is now i'm going to have to suffer through all of the reviews, pictures, & praising of this figure for another month 'til i'm able to get my hands on it.

I may go for it, since it's a great mold and this is pretty unarguably the definitive version of movie Prime for now. Also, the price is reasonable for an import of that size.
I'll justify the purchase by saying that I'll get rid of my Premium and Nightwatch Primes. Kind of unfortunate that I wasted $40 something on the Hasbro ROTF Prime just a few months ago, even if I can resell it for part of the value.

I received mine today, and I must say the no images online due this figure justice. He is literally so beautiful. I haven't opened him up to confirm completely yet, but every ounce of silver on the figure is painted. His red and blue are so vibrant, and eye catching, and the flame details really stand out.
