Not sure if this actually belongs here or in GD because this thread is about the series in general, but I was A) curious if anyone played the card game in person or online. B) Watched the tv show which is probably the best *card game* Tv show made so far.

I've been playing since about the Marrilian invasion. It was originally to play online as something to do at work, but one of my coworkers wanted to play, and since I got two decks, we learned the rules and started playing. Got a third and fourth in as well. Very unusual game as it takes planning ahead and not so much luck of the draw as the other card games do, though it has it's fair share.

I suck online though. However with master rules in place, perhaps my decks will do better now that abilities and Mugic are usuable online.

The TV show is also a lot of fun, as it's not about playing the game to save the world or anything like that. Infact a lot of times the cardgame takes a back seat to the goings on in the world of Perim.

I've seen the TV show a few times. It is pretty decent and has a cool time signature change in the theme song. Thats about all I can say.

I've never played the card game. I've pretty much gotten out of the whole trading card game thing ever since I realized how much I was spending on Magic the Gathering back in college and how few people were playing ever since I got out of college. So, TCG's are really out of my life.

But I have watched the show quite a bit. It's probably one of the few cartoons these days still worth watching. I agree it's a lot better than other card game shows. Yugioh in particular just seems so contived. Oh no, Yugi's losing by a big margin. What ever is he gonna do? Why, he'll just bring in some new card no one's ever heard before that's going to turn the tables and when the duel for him in one move! Chaotic may be just as much of a "look at all these new uber-powerful creatures that are coming out in the next set, now go out and buy them" show as any of them, but at least it doesn't feel so forced in the middle of a battle...usually.

So yeah, love the show. I also got the video game on PS3 (to help bring this solidly into the video game topic). It's actually pretty good. So far, I've only seen Tom as far as the major human players go. I hope at some point some of the others make an appearance.

I seriously need to get back to playing that. I still haven't gotten Intress yet. Yeah, I have a thing for cat-women.
