What the hell does "Button 00", "Button 01", etc. mean?

I have no idea what any of the controls are, so could someone who does know help me out here?

First off, are you using a controller or just the keyboard?

If it's the keyboard, Z is Shoot, X is Bomb, and Shift is Focus.
