I'm more interested in that Grimlock there.
I like the look of Jazz and Soundwave but I have those molds already and I don't want them enough to buy them again especially with limited funds. The card artwork for both do look awesome though.

Hooray, ES Soundwave (and Ratbat, more notably) for Christmas. Jazz, I don't care about so much. The original is fine.
Really, the best news here is that they are in fact mass retail releases - no exclusive stickers on these guys.
HellCat
Nov 17 2009, 07:05 AM
So they release them in the heart of the Christmas buying season so not only do eagle eyed fans have a chance at them, but also clueless parents who will eagerly snap up anything Transformers too. Hence, little chance of pegwarming...

These guys really continue my trend of preferring Animated figures in their repainted forms...Jazz really looks even cooler to me than before, when stripped of his G1 deco. Both are snazzy, and some variety in the Hasbro offerings is much appreciated. I like different styles to be available at the same time...

If I can find it, I guess $10 for a Ratbat accessory isn't too bad considering what we pay for fan add-on kits. The Soundwave will be a bonus. I would pass, but I thought having the Soundwave toy that could hold his musical instruments was pretty cute, so I don't mind adding to that.
Not sure if my fondness for the Jazz mold will be enough considering he's a random color scheme in a toyline that I've pretty much moved on from. I'll probably still at least get Arcee and Rodimus though.

It's not random. It' s Animated Jazz in movie colors; basically the inverse of Target exclusive movie Jazz.
That said, it's not that eye-catching, either.

As much as I dislike aspects of GF Soundwave/blaster, he at least doesn't have the hollow cheap feeling that Animated Soundwave has. But that's about one of the only things GF SW has over him.

Actually 5, but Cuyahoga Falls OH (Cleveland's general area is about 4-1/2; not sure about some of those other towns)
Liverpool NY's just north of Syracuse, about 1-1/4 hours east of here...

Ho-hum. I do hope that we get at least one more wave after this one with some more exciting repaints (or heck, maybe even a new mold).
I'd go for White Soundwave (call him Sonic Bonanza Soundwave or something) and another Seeker (Ramjet, preferably, or Slipstream if they could do a head remold). Then again, the Ratchet mold is pretty good, so maybe redo him as something, or perhaps Megatron as Cyber Ninja Springer.

If you're looking for CJ and Dirge, check out some TRUs and/or Kohl's stores. That's where I found them late this summer, and CJ could still be found at a Kohl's I went to as recently as 2 weeks ago. It'll be expensive at Kohl's, though - 12 dollars. It was worth it to me not to track him down on ebay.
