One of my favorite Mangas since i read it in high school back in 1998 after i watched the anime feature from 1986 and also watched that horrible live-action 1995 version. This is one of the most popular mangas since the 80's as it's set in the far future where a nuclear holocaust has devested most of the world and there are some people who want to heal it and two magicial martial artist brothers named Ken and Roah fight for world supremecy over technology, kung fu and magic as Ken becomes a Superman-like hero with superhuman strength, explosive powers and fights various mutants & enemies to get his woman back especially healing the world back to it's roots.
It's very much like "Mad Max" and "Wizards" but done quite well, it's loaded with action and nice artwork with a very eco-story about saving the world. I also recommend checking out the anime shows and kickass anime movie.

I like it too, because it's hilariously cheesy and written for twelve-year-old Japanese kids in the 70s or whatever.

It was made in 1980 actually and have you seen the anime (Both shows and movie)? stay away from the live-action american movie, it sucks.

Only difference is that the DBZ guys didn't make people explode after punching or kicking someone.
Now the animated Fist movie did starred Uncle Phil/Shredder himself James Avery as Fang and had some of the most unintentionally funny kills in a anime movie such as Ken kicking the ass of a large fat guy until he says "You see what did i tell you, still in one piece good as new" then his gut expands then explodes as he goes "Whoa oooh" until he turns into a red light.

If you want a REAL live-action Fist of the North Star, check out "Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky", now that's the closet thing to a live action FOTS.

Hahahaha, God you crack me up with your BS.
Riki-Oh is a hilariously bad movie. Absolute pure bloody cheese, even more so than the live action FOTNS movie.
You cannot take a movie where a man guts himself and uses his intestines to try and strangle another man, only for someone to then say 'You've got a lot of guts Oscar!' seriously.
