Hi everyone. Just wanted to drop by and share some 3D renders of custom weapons I've been working on for Classics Prime and Megatron. These are currently being laser prototyped, and I should have them in hand next week. I'll for sure post the photos of the actual weapons.

Seeing your models makes me wan't an Igear of fansprojects set for Classics Megatron and Prime with weapons based on your models.

I see the Ax and think it should be mostly orange rather then just orange bladed

I think they will look a lot better with colored symbols. The Decepticon symbol should be a bit more of a royal purple. The Autobot symbol should be red with a white or silver backing maybe.

I'd rather they not have the symbols at all. They seem kinda...gratuitous.

Thanks for the comments. I guess I should said, these are being made for myself. I have had a lot of interest shown to get these made for sale. I'll have to see how the prototypes turn out, and if its worth the time to make a small run of these.



I envisioned the shaft transforming out of the wirst socket, like how in the MTMTE episodes, some of the Autobot's had their hands retract, and a metal device came out after. I also thought it'd would be a good look for a "classics" update as well.



I wanted to keep the look simple. I think painting the symbols would make it too detailed. But I could also try it out in a render to see how it looks.



I felt the symbols added to the look, especially if unpainted.

I think it works for Megatron - he's got two big honking 'Con sigils on his cannon. Prime's, not so much. While I'm not a fan of the axe, I'd agree that it might look better with more orange.

I'm really digging that axe, actually. That's the accessory I'd want. I dig it. The shape is interesting, and I like the Animated-like approach of a metal shaft with an energon blade.

I like the morningstar, too, but the axe is striking me.

Might want to start dodging so you don't end up dismembered.

Awesome. I like the axe just as it is--colored blade only. Debating in my head if the rest should be a matching red (or at least, the attachment that connects to his hand) Of course, that could be painted later if we wanted to.

REALLY loving the blaster. That alone makes me very interested in getting these. I would have no use for the morning star (no Megs), but the axe and blaster would get lots of attention.

I'd love an axe and rifle set for Nemesis Prime, but the use of the symbol seems to prevent that, unfortunately.

Love the flail. Not quite digging the axe, though. I think it's that the axe head is mounted on a thick cone instead of the usual shaft that makes it look weird to me.

At this point, I'm thinking if they get released, it'll be two separate sets. The flail and chains will be very difficult to cast, and have them working. The alternate is for me to get them laser prototyped, which costs close to $20 for one of them in the translucent material. Someone suggested the base for Prime's axe to be red before. The only problem is that I have to match the red to one of the two versions, classics or henkei. If I match the red to one, it won't work with the other. Since both versions have silver parts, I'm just going with the silver since it'll work easier. And people will have the option to paint it red themselves.




I've already thought about a Nemesis version.

Red for the shaft would also be poor contrast for the blade.
