According to
Autobase Aichi, several online shops have announced that Device Label Broadblast (the product name has been changed recently) was cancelled.
Originally he was to be released in September, then postponed to December, now this.
Though this month issue of Hyper Hobby reported the new expected release as next spring, so there is still a possibility that this product will be released eventually.
credit to Autobase Aichi.
Red Mercury listing 発売中止 = release cancelled
I really hope this isn't true, as it was the main reason I bought any Device Label figures.

DRAT. DRAT. DRAT.
I really really wanted him to go along with Music Label Soundwave.

I really hope he still comes out eventually.
-ZacWilliam, really bummed to have to cross this guy off my x-mas list.

Ugh. Yeah, he's the one I've been looking forward to to most. And part of my decision to get Tigatron was so that I'd have someone to plug into Blaster. I really hope this isn't the case...

Looking at Broadcast's entry here, does it say cancelled?

I share your grief, but they are not really fair comparisons.
One is a store exclusive redeco of a pre-existing mold, made to order. The other is a mass retail release electronic figure made to be compatible with 4 other figures.
I'm thinking the electronic part may be pushing him back...

Well that's disappointing if true, a lot of folks really want this guy.

I'm sure it's coming, they went a long way to develop the figure. I hope they strip out the electronics and just release him cheaper. He's awesome, but Blaster has never been $60 + shipping awesome to me.

If Device Label Blaster has been canned, I'll be disappointed. I was looking forward to him.

Back on topic, I think that image is just of the normal Blaster with a different sticker for his screen. We've seen a couple different options (through various pictures) of possible screens he could have - so maybe this is one of them (it's from the back of Ravage/Tigatron's packaging).
I never heard of a Black version - just the normal red version.

Alright, kids...
On the Red Mercury page
here and
here (scroll down till you see Blaster), preorders are closed.
In a nutshell, Device Label Blaster is canceled. Although oddly, the Aichi blog brought up this month's issue of Hyper Hobby mentioning about it possibly being pushed back for a spring release, so a possibility of coming out the next fiscal year after April? Buster or Hydra could correct me.

This news... saddens me... I was looking forward to Blaster. I was planning on getting him after someone took comparison pics with ML Soundwave.

Oi... Not like I WANT to break the hearts of those that were waiting for DL Blaster.

If the Aichi blog is correct on this month's issue of Hyper Hobby mentioning a possible release come spring, who knows. Short of folks posting scans of HH that says DL Blaster being pushed to spring, that is.

Keep things on topic, people.
DL Blaster is canceled at Red Mercury, although
eHobby's listing has sold out and stopped taking preorders, but no mention on cancellation.

They're gone.
Back on topic people and let's stay there.
That means not bringing that mess up at all.

Got a cancellation notice for my order with Amazon.co.jp a little while ago.
But I imagine he'll be released eventually unless there was a major problem like with a patent infringement accusation or something. Would be wasteful to not do so when the engineering, etc. has to be complete already.

Hopefully they resolicit him. They also canceled the Chrono Label figures a few months ago.

Yeah, but I figure a lot more people were willing to buy Broadcast than those. I believe the pre-orders on Amazon and TRU Jp had already sold out before the cancellation.

Really? I thought they would have canceled Chrono Label due to lack of interest, because of the high price ($300 a piece). Huh. I wonder what the reason was then?

Oh I misread, I thought he said more people were willing to buy the Chrono Label than Broadcast. I don't think the Chrono Label has a snow ball's chance of coming out (I don't think any cares either - I know I don't), but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Broadcast.
