Hi!

"Nightscream chases down Jetstorm and retrieves Blackarachnia's spark. Rattrap and Cheetor lose control of Tankor and once again face him and his Vehicon drones. Tankor continually appears to show signs of inner conflict during the battle. While communicating with the Matrix through the Oracle, Optimus finds Rhinox. Optimus is taken back when Rhinox shows signs of hostility towards him. Meanwhile, Rhinox manages to gain control of Tankor claiming that he is no longer on the Maximals' or Megatron's side. Cheetor and the others subdue him and attempt to forcefully reprogram him. Optimus appears and tells them to let Rhinox go. Rhinox leaves the Maximals with a criptic message, "the next time we meet, it will not be as allies"."

That's what people were talking about 10 years ago today. An episode of Beast Machines that wouldn't air for 2 more days -- but we knew what was going to happen anyway. Why? Because of two enterprising fans by the names of Optimus87 and SH0CKWAVE who decided that a place called "THE ALLSPARK" would be a great place to talk about Beast Machines spoilers, since the so called "Official Beast Machines" forums were having nothing of it.

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago. Hard to believe how much has changed in the world since then. And believe it or not, we're still here. Our community has changed, grown and evolved in these years. Each of our members have had personal tragedies and personal triumphs to learn and grown from. People have gotten married, had children and those same children are now enjoying the conventions and TV shows just as we once did. We got not one, but two Blockbuster movies, new comic books, new toys and 5 subsequent animated series. Who would have thought that something so modest, so far removed from anyone but the most hardcore of us, would have gained such momentum in these past 10 years?

Whether you're new or old, a regular or a lurker, an everyday user or someone who hasn't stopped by in years -- I invite you all to come post in this thread and celebrate our 10th anniversary.


It's been my happy privilege to be a part of this grand experiment that we've all taken part in, and I look forward to the next 10 years and beyond. And I hope you'll join us all.

For the same reason I remember my 1st two posts here at the 'Spark from 10 years ago. I just have that kind of memory.

Whoo! Only been here since '05, but glad to be a part of it.

Heck, I don't think I even knew about the internet in '99.

I've only been around something like half that time. And non-lurking for even less of that time. Only about 3-4 years ago did I really start speaking up and being involved a lot more. But this place is basically my "internet home". Everyone who knows me knows what it means when they see a lot of purple on my computer screen. It's iconic!

Duly noted. Only vaguely related, my apartment building is full of coffee fanatics. They have their own Facebook group. You'd like them.

I remember the honor I felt in being one of the folks asked to join TheAllspark when it first formed 10 years ago, a welcome alternative to the tyranny of BigBot! Since then, I've formed countless true and longterm friendships as a result. And even though my posting frequency has wanes considerably since the early days, this is still a daily spot for me to stop in.

Thank you, AllSpark for 10 wonderful years, and I raise my glass to many more. Happy birthday!

Man, I remember joining this place back in the day and then life happened and it's been around four years since the last appearance. The interesting bit is I actually typed in my password like it was nothing. Happy ten years and, of all the places that I went to back then, this is definitely one that I'm glad is still around. I don't remember how long I was here but I do remember being treated well and that's enough for me.

Its been a grand ten years indeed. Thank you so very much for ALL your hard work, and this most PRIME of sites.

Good lord... has it been 10 years already? Seems like only yesterday Ops and I got this site started... well, maybe 7 years tops. Then I see I have a message in my inbox from June... 2008!

A decade of Transformers and like minded people, anticipating new Transformers, speculating the third spark, horsing around, hanging around, lurking, wondering if there'd ever be a movie, to seeing that movie, then wondering if your eyes / childhood would ever heal after watching it, wondering who that black guy was, tanging, ninja lesbianing, laughing, arguing, spoiling, consoling, Injector haikuing... a decade of friendships come and gone. It's amazing to look at personal growth as well. Where were was I 10 years ago? I had one Ikea billy bookcase to house all of my collection, now I have eight. I was doing simple 2D animations at YTV, and now I'm working on Twilight: Eclipse. I was married, but now I'm a divorced father. It's times like this that you should take a moment and remember where you came from. Where were you 10 years ago? Where will you be in 10 more years? I raise my glass to you all, old friends and new.

Well, wouldn'tchaknow. I'm not sure when I joined. When Bigbot sortof splintered I had accounts everywhere. I made my first post here when one of my pictures where removed from TFW2000 because it whas considered too racy.

Look at the old thing. (Because I can't, but I post it for SCIENCE!)



It's been years of development from then for me just as the boards. Overall this place is pretty relaxed. I like that.

I haven't quite been here since the start, but I've been here a while.

Came in the Spring of 2001 to the EZspark boards. Banned from Bottalk for linking to an Allspark thread. I was 15 years old then. My first thread asked about a live action TF film (ala Xmen, Spiderman). If people thought it was possible, what they'd like to see in one. Everyone tore me a new one for the seemingly impossible feat of a TF film.

I don't know what happened with my post count and join date. I made the jump to the new non-EZboard spark and didn't transfer my post count. I started a new account instead of changing my name at one point too. So my post and join date should be 2001 and slightly higher (I didn't post more than a few times per week back then).

It's amazing to think I've been in the Allspark community for so long. I've made some great sales/trades/purchases, made a few friends,etc... I'm 23 now. I'm finishing college in May and I have two beautiful daughters. A lot has changed, but the Allspark hasn't. 8 Years later, the Allspark is still my homepage and I don't see that changing any time soon.

It feels just like yesterday I joined... yesterday also feels like my first son being born, my wedding, my second son being born, and other stuff. Wow how time flies.

I was here for the Dreamwave bankruptcy hugup... how you guys doing? IDW seems to be a lot nicer to its employees... by, you know, paying them and stuff.

I was around in the beginning. And for several years after that. Kind of fell out of the fandom as it drifted away from Beast-prefix, but the BW 10th anniversary stuff and the TF movies brought back some of that interest for me. I'm afraid I can't say I've hung around or been any integral part of The Allspark for quite some time, but I have fond memories of when I was here.

I remember this place as still not being weirded out and telling me to stop genderbending beast-formers. XD
Though the thing that is most memorable didn't actually happen on the board. The Allspark dance floor from that one botcon where Spectre just started kicking ass while making an ass of himself, lol. And the ensuing moshpit after me and Haretrigger gave it a go.
Was fun. Also was the last time I danced myself. XD
Too bad no one took video of that night so we could put it on the site, oh well.
In related news, going to be 28 in 4 days.
